Nice hotel, good hospitality. But very far away from the sea.
It is not a beach hotel and we did not understand why it was listed by TripAdvisor although we selected "BEACH " for search criteria...
When we planned to visit Chios island to enjoy sun & sea, it was not what we dreamt about...

Located near city(perfect location and great view) the hotel is super clean and provides u great hospitality.The hotel owner Mr. Michalis a former Captain is very helpful and will guide u throughout your stay to visit the greatest sightseeing and best beaches through a helpful map and a copy with every detail. The staffs were very helpful and polite. The hotel is really luxurious and provides you every facilities for a pleasant stay. Hope I could make it and come back soon... miss it already !!!!
Don't forget to have your dinner in the Restaurant!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Ai Yannis. The rooms are large and well furnished. we had a balcony with a great view of the bay. The hotel is spotless. Mr. Mihali, the owner/manager will do everything in his power to satisfy his guests. Irina was especially helpful, professional, and friendly. We had two excellent dinners at the rooftop restaurant with a beautiful view and at a reasonable price. Breakfasts were outstanding with many Greek delicacies. Overall, the staff does everything in its power to satisfy guests and succeeds. Highly recommended.

If you're staying on chios island, Ai Yannis is the place to stay. When we arrived and saw the hotel and our room we were sure that we had picked the right place. It's essentially a luxury hotel that you wouldn't expect to find on the island. The staff and the owners are friendly and made us feel totally at home without being intrusive.
I know how helpful it is to see specific details when trying to decide between one hotel and another, so I'll go ahead and make this a detailed post. We're a family of 5 so we need extra space, and we looked at both hotels on the island and Airbnb, including places right in the water. I'm very glad we went with the Ai Yannis hotel. The view is spectacular from the large balcony, and the mornings, sunsets and evenings out there make you feel like you could stay in you room all day. The superior suite we stayed in was spacious, convenient and first class. Air conditioning worked great. The rest of the hotel is beautiful, and the restaurant and bar are particularly nice. Breakfast every morning was exceptional with a mix of authentic Greek food but also more typical fare that kept the fussiest of our daughters happy with breakfast, including cooked to order eggs. Two bathrooms made a huge difference... Decorations everywhere are tasteful, the beds were extremely comfortable (a welcome change after the boards that we slept on in Athens). There's a supermarket that's a five minute drive from the hotel in marmaro, and several nice beaches within a 10 or 12 minute drive.
Bottom line: it's a wonderful place to stay, and I recommend it highly.

We visited Chios for the first time and could not have been happier and more pleased with the service at Ai Yannis. The owner was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was amazing and top notch. Our suite was very spacious, comfortable, spotless, the balcony was giant and had the most breathtaking view! All the staff was so attentive and went the extra mile for all of us. So glad we chose this boutique hotel and stayed away from the larger commercial and run down hotels in town.
