Best Cullen Skink I’ve Ever Had
Clarkey1991on 16/11/2017 12:35Title says it all. Get the Cullen Skink. It’s a starter but it’s like a meal. Beautiful soup. We have a 2 year old Labrador which gets very excited so the fact we can bring her and nobody is bothered is great. You don’t need to give notice just bring your dog along. We had a gorgeous meal and drinks and everything is fresh. We stayed in the hotel in the summer too, which if you can arrange I’d definitely recommend as the staff are lovely and the views from restaurant are wonderful. Just a fantastic place.
Perfect dinner
sarahtilbury212on 05/11/2017 18:52Visited this restaurant on Saturday 4th November. We have been here several times before but not been for a while. The food is fantastic,very well presented as well. The staff are extremely attentive and very friendly. Had a wonderful evening here and would not hesitate in returning. A wee bonus was they were playing elvis quietly in the background. Thank you for a lovely evening 😀

Great spot to stay for a few nights
paul_mcdowellon 19/09/2017 18:53I last stayed here many years ago and it was family run. The management has since been taken over by a great young couple and it is as good as ever. This is a pub and excellent restaurant with 5 rooms, so really an inn of sorts.The rooms are spacious, comfortable and have all the facilities that one now expects. They are dog friendly too! The restaurant is superb cooking with an emphasis on very fine Scottish ingredients, particularly to seafood. The proprietors and their staff go out of their way to look after you and, as it is heavily patronized by the locals (I can see why!), there is a wonderful homely friendly atmosphere with lots of laughter. Maybe the incredibly well stocked bar featuring a huge array of Scottish malts contribute to that! This is such a relaxing nice place, not fancy, but caters so well and passionately for their clients. So, well done to the new management keeping alive a long tradition of hospitality.

Helen Oon 11/09/2017 18:52The thoughtfulness and kindness of all the staff, especially the fantastic chefs, was second to none in helping my disabled, wheelchair bound father and I on Sunday. It was matched only by the quality of the roast beef which was superb.
