We stayed for one night out of season – and it was clearly out of season – everything seemed to be packed away for the winter. Maybe the cleaning services had stopped too – the room was less than spotless, water flow from the bathroom taps was super slow – didn’t bother with the shower. The whole place (and its management) just seemed a bit tired. Restaurant was ok – standard Tuscan fare without frills.

We booked this hotel through a booking agency prior to our business trip. All was confirmed. We arrived after flying to Rome and driving the 2 hours north, up the A1 and then the SS71 (very good driving road, with many a hairpin!) It was 8.00pm and the hotel was, shall we say, very dark with no obvious sign of life. The reception was closed, there were no lights on at all. We walked around to see if we could find anyone, but no. So we rang the number provided to be met with "Non Compronde" . Again and again we were told "We do not understand". After 30 minutes we headed back into town and had to find another hotel (Read the next report for that)
Poor poor customer service, an e-mail was written on the Thursday to the booking agency but still to date no reply.
Sorry can not comment on the quality of the hotel but the fact no one was there was poor.
