This small family run restaurant on the outskirts of downtown Cortina, between the pedestrianized zone and the Olympic skating stadium is a gem. The decor is traditional Tyrolian mountain. The food ranges from really tasty pizza, to excellent homemade pasta to a few well-crafted meat and fish main courses. Even the basket of bread had a delicious variety of flavorful crusty breads. The staff is friendly and caring and made us feel right at home even though we were the only tourists in the place (and they spoke enough English to help us order). We also ordered an inexpensive but tasty carafe of house wine (local) to go with our meal. We had a really pleasant meal in a place that felt more like someone's home than a formal restaurant. Would highly recommend.

The dinner was good, the people were nice, amd the price was correct. Tasty pizzas and pasta.

Poor food

Walked slightly out of the centre to try this restaurant based on some good reviews. Massively disappointing experience; terrible decor, radio blaring, poor service and dreadful food. Until now, I didn't think it was possible to have bad pasta in Italy but mine was lukewarm and flavorless.
Best food right in town

Definitely worth the short walk out of the main tourist town center, Tavernetta serves very enjoyable, creative, and delicious meals. Highly recommended
Lovely atmosphere, fine dining.

I dined here sometimes in different occasions.
Last time I came here with some friends. The place is really nice and the menu offers pizzas and local specialities as well. Everything is properly prepared. I would recommend "Pizza Cortina".
