Great holiday with good food and very friendly staff
After holidaying at the Alba Resort on three occasions, we decided to try the Alba Queen in June 2017. A smaller hotel than the Alba but what an enjoyable holiday we had! Rooms require a little bit of TLC but good AC. The food in the main restaurant was excellent - buffet style with lots of choice (fish, meat, pasta, salads, vegetables etc) along with a good range of desserts and fresh fruit. Our waiter Sinan (lovely jubbly!) would serve our choice of wine and made us very welcome indeed. We decided to eat in the main restaurant evenings only and used the beach bar during the day. The beach bar is a lovely relaxing experience with fresh grilled fish daily cooked by Ahmet and Hanim who were very friendly and wanted to ensure you had a good meal (fresh pizzas are very good too). Our waiters Bayram and Yasin would cater to whatever you wanted and were very hospitable.
We ate in the Fish a la carte and had a beautiful meal - be aware there are quite a few courses so make sure you are hungry. Abdullah our waiter served our wine and told us what course was next which was lovely.
The lounge bar is very relaxing at night although there is outside entertainment (we saw one dance show which was very good indeed). There was no rush for a sunbed - perhaps we were early in the holiday season, but we could move from the pool to the beach and back again without any concerns of sunbeds.
Brits you really need to start going back to Turkey - you are missing out on a great holiday - there were very few Brits on the resort (popular with loud russian tourists so needs more balance). We felt very safe in both the resort and the Airport too.
Beautiful weather, nice walks on the beach, great food and the staff really do make your holiday an enjoyable one. Also thanks to waiters and bar staff Elvis, Ramazan, Ulas and Yunus, Tolgahan and Engincan.
One recommendation - please add Turkish Flatbread to your daytime beach and bar menu !
Hope to return in 2018.

Hi my husband and myself went for 1 week holiday here . I would rate it a 4*. Just the furniture in the bedroom is a bit dated and you can't go out on balcony and shut the door as you won't get back in unless someone in the other side to open it. The pool and sunbeds were fine and well I just love the beach although you do need to be there early to get a sunbed .. the food was nice if you love chicken which I do so you ok there .tho my husband had a variety said there's always something you can eat you won't starve haha .. We found the waiters in dining hall did not come over to you till you had sat for a while before leaving table for food . The evening entertainment was very poor . Yes they had the family entertainment till 10.15 then there was nothing just some background music . No entertainment for us while the family entertainment was going on . It takes the waiters / waitress all the time to come to table for drink or food at the pool bar so you end up going up bar to order yourself .. The guy who came on the bar for his 12 midnight shiftat the pool bar we found very patronising and rude not just once each time we would order a drink from him so after the 3rd night we would not stay for a drink from 12 midnight as you had to go over to order drink off him as waiters and waitresses staff finished at 12 . So what we paid for 24 hour drink we never benefitted from it . We have stayed a the alba resort 2, years ago had a lovely holiday so we thought we would try alba queen which is not far from it we would prefer alba resort. We did have a lovely holiday it was just the night time entertainment was not enough. We love Turkey and will be arriving back next year but unfortunately it won't be to the alba queen . I must say the shops down the road from the hotel are as cheap even cheaper than the market at manavgat ..and the guys are pleased and don't push you to buy ....
would come back

The hotel is a member of the alba hotels. This one is suitable for families with children, however, if you want a hotel without childre, alba royal accomodates people at least 16 yo.
The hotel was very nice and clean.
The staff was nice and very helpful, we asked to have our room clenaed first and they did. Whenever we asked to have our bedsheet cleaned, they did it, even 2-3 times a day (kid was sick).
They speak only German and Russian, hardly any English.
The bar was filled every day.
We had a 2-bedroom room, situated at the end of the hotel, further from the pool and all the attractions, however, there was noise from the evening programme.
If you want water, you have to ask for it either in the reastaurant, or in one of the two pool bars (one at the beach and one at the pool).
Food seemed repetitive, however, tasted good.
90% of visitors were Russians and Germans.
Mini disco Mon-Sat, for abt 30 minutes.
You can visit A la Carte restaurant once a week, either Asian of Fish Restaurant, but make sure to book a lot ahead, because they are always full! Visited Asian Restaurant, but it wasn´t anything special, even though you get your table decorated and served a few course menu.
wi-fi only on payment, the wifi spots offer slow internet connection
Partially inclusive, a little underwhelming

I don't think I would return to the Alba Queen Hotel.
The hotel and room is very clean, and there are plenty of facilities: a big pool, plenty of sun beds around the pool and on the beach, a spa (I'd recommend a turkish spa experience), sauna, gym, indoor pool, near 24 hour bar and a small ampitheatre for the entertainment. The food is regular, varied, and I never had a problem with it. Barely any repetition, and plenty of salad, vegetables and fruit.
However. We found it took a while to figure out all of the locations, timings and dress-code because this was not offered to us, nor was it easy to find out without walking around. The staff seem reasonably friendly but communication was quite difficult, and we had more success talking german (this is common around all of Turkey though). The drinks were extremely sugary, and there was no real fruit juice (without paying extra), only lots of syrupy drinks. Our beds were rock-hard and I had to regularly remind myself I was on a bed, and not a table top. It's also a shame to have to pay for the safe too; it was a measly €1 a day and seemed more of a deliberate inconvenience than a need for money.
Overall we were a little dissatisfied by the whole place. It just lacked polish that it has the potential for. When you pay for all inclusive, you don't expect caveats.
Rubbish

I have just finished my holiday at this so called 5 star hotel. What a joke I really do not know where to begin but here goes.
I have given it a review value of 2.
1. for the pool it was brilliant
2. For the people we met because of them we could not have got through our holiday.
The staff are arrogant impolite unprofessional and ignorant.
The whole experience was a joke.
There was a lot of Germans there and they catered for them explicitly, they totally ignored our requests for help with various items.
Never refilled fridge. Charged for a safe in room. Charged for Wi-Fi all as extras.
When they eventually changed sheets they also was dirty.
They have a waiter collecting photos of young girls and posting them on Snapchat without permission ( a real shady guy )
I cannot state how much this holiday was a joke. The place is a joke.
Then there is fellow unknown to all our group and there was 3 family's in our group. Who came into our rooms whilst we were asleep went into bathroom and left saying okay okay slamming door.
I don't like swearing but my parting statement is fook um.
It was a joke
And they even let a man stay who had been arrested the night before. Who when released started trouble with our group of happy go lucky campers.
It was shame the whole experience was ruined by so many things and staff really was the pits.
