We were in Frejus and decided to spend a day or two in Cannes. Looked online for Hotel prices and best deal. We found this hotel listed at €40 for the night. Surely it had to be dreadful...but no, whilst the room was indeed tiny, it was compact and everything was clean and functioned. The Hotel was 5 minutes walk from the station, 5 minutes from the marina and right in the middle of the shopping centre. Staff friendly, and so central. However, this was probably a discounted out of season price so if you're visiting Cannes as we did - early March, stay here and you'll have more money for great restaurants and shopping.

We stayed at the Hotel Cannes Croisette on the 31st March,2016, [formerly the Albe Hotel ] so now the outside is completely different, it has a very pleasing and contemporary new look. It is rated two stars at the moment but l believe it is on its way to 3 stars. The reception / breakfast area has an airy open plan feel to it, plus the receptionist spoke perfect English she was pleasant and accommodating..
The bedrooms though basic, are clean, with freshly painted walls.[white] A small T V on the wall, new lights and new wall to wall headboards, Furthermore, new air conditioning, plus new bedside phones.The toilets and bathrooms have all been totally renovated, brand new shower cubicles and sinks, with lovely shiny chrome taps, Hairdryers too, plus tiled floors throughout. This was a business trip and we stayed just one night. We have been coming to this hotel twice a year for the past eight years or more, believe me it has changed dramatically...all for the better...The location is excellent, just two streets back from the beach front and the Croisette Casino..There are numerous shops and restaurants to choose from just outside the hotel. The cost of the twin room was 76 euros including tax.
Great value indeed..The Hotel has certainly raised its profile and there is more work to be done, but if you enter with an open mind, you will not be disappointed.

The recepcionist, Juan Felipe, was very good and helpfull. He helped us looking for a parking spot and gave us general touristic information in detail. In Cannes city center is hard to find parking spot on the streets. The hotel recepcionist offered us to leave the car in front of the hotel where there are availability just for two staff cars.

We were looking for a budget friendly hotel for a weekend in Cannes and Hotel Albe was in a fantastic location within 2 blocks to the water and easy access to the beach. The hotel is nothing fancy, but it is functional if you plan on staying for a short time. We were hoping to use the safe for our belongings in the hotel, but they are actually located in the lobby hallway and were "broken". Even though we were worried none of our items were stolen or out of place, and in fact the housekeepers were friendly and accommodating. The lobby is open 24/7 with someone at the desk. The managers or desk clerks were not very helpful if you are looking for tourist information, but the tourist information center in Cannes is very good.

-Very centrally situated.
-Clean rooms and lobby.
-Good air-condition.
-Friendly staff.
-Low price.
Perfect hotel and very worth its price! Recommend it! ...............
