100% place to stay in Genoa:
- Great location - City Centre (Piazza Ferrari, Via Garibaldi, Via XX Settembre, Porto Antico, Via Balbi)
- Reasonable prices for nice, cosy rooms with individual bathroom and breakfast delivered to the room in the morning! I still can't believe it's only 1 star indicated, it definitely deserves more!
Anyway a great place, simple, cosy and clean! Great value and even a bit more for its price! Proud to recommend ☝🏻️🤓

It is a Small but lovely hotel at the central place in Genua. The Owner is one of the nicest people i ever met. The room is Small but very Clean. The service is perfect. Breakfast is also very good. You have to go there.
I will go there again.

The Albergo is very well located at reasonable distances from the main attractions, old building with old furnitures, beds are in bad shape but the administration is very friendly and supportive. European style breakfast at your room, bathroom narrow and poor maintenanced. Once time experience.

This is not a hotel, we got a tiny room on the 6th floor. The reception is on the 6th floor, its old and rundown. The ground floor had cigarette butts everywhere and some type of tablets on the floor, and a used nappy on the stairs. Plastic sheets taped to the floor, looked very unclean.. It does have a tiny, very slow elevator.. We needed keys to open four doors which were difficult to unlock to finally reach our room. Room very small, table cloths as bath towels and tea towels, not sure what the tea towels were for. Bathroom tiny, nowhere to hang towels or put clothes in bathroom.This felt like someone had turned their small bedroom in an apartment into a hotel room, it was claustrophobic. Even worse, it was a fire hazard, stuck on the 6th floor, if there was a fire, no way could you escape quickly, having to unlock so many doors to finally get outside and as the locks were so difficult and took some time to unlock. We were meant to stay 2 nights, but booked another hotel for the second night, and got out first thing in the morning, did not even wait for breakfast. This is why I am writing this, l would hate for a family to be here with children. I do not want it on my conscience if l did not warn anyone. But to be fair and to show l am not unjust, the shower had hot water, the beds were fine and room was air conditioned, which is absolutely needed in Italy in summer, we were there July 2015. And l will be very interested to see if my review is put up on this site. I am wondering if only good reviews are put up .l do not recommend this place and my advise is to research & research any place you intend to stay at. READ EVERY REVIEW.

With the new owners and the departure of my old friend Carlo the albergo has launched itself into the new era......2015.Rooms have been white washed,lighting updated,beds and comforters new and refreshed.There is nothing else to say than what was already good has just gotten better!
