Choose the pre-season
ijosephon 23/05/2017 11:00We came on a package in the pre-season when the place was lovely. The pool is very nice and the apartment generously proportioned. Noise could be a problem. It wasn't when we were there. One needs a car to explore more of Sardinia but a supermarket, and a good restaurant are nearby, and a nice beach about 1km away, with another nice restaurant right there.
A bit worn out but beautiful outdoors and very nice swimming pools

No luxury in the apartments which are old and in need of renovation, but very pretty outside and two beautiful swimming pools and nice staff. Restaurant at the hotel as well. To supermarkeds across the street, one very nice and the other bad!
Very quiet area, you need to rent a car to get around.
Not top quality
Econauon 13/10/2016 13:52Gli Ontani is a complex that includes a hotel and a holiday resort with a number of flats. We came off season and the place had very few guest. We stayed at the hotel and had a fair-sized room with a bathroom and a large balcony. Typical Italian style. Reasonably clean but worn down. Breakfast is limted to bread, jam, yoghurt, a few fresh fruits and coffee/tea.
The hotel has two large swimming pools and a nice garden.
It is classified as a four-star hotel, but three (small) stars would be more to the point.
Noise and poor quality
Gregers_from_dkon 24/07/2016 22:22Noise 24/7. I knew we were going to a family friendly place, but the noise from happy children started early in the morning. Then noise from the pool, spiced up with loud music from a small stage all throughout the day. Early in the evening the stage starts with family entertainment, going on until midnight. Now you think...time for some peace, but no. Then some drunk Slovakians starts to sing...
The apartment had an air conditioner placed in the kitchen/living room. It worked overtime during the day, in order to cool the apartment, but it too was very noisy. The kitchen was simple, but it worked. No oven, no microwave a few pots and pans and a sink. The apartment it self was as expected. Simple and acceptable clean.
Depressing and dirty
marc_willeon 02/08/2013 21:24Don't go here. First of all the place is not in Orosei but about 10 miles down the road in some depressing suburb. Secondly when we arrived we not only found over 100 musquito's in the very dirty and gloomy apartment we were supposed to stay in, but also the staff was very indifferent and not at all service minded.
The complex itself is very large and consists of over 100 apartments. It borders some baren wasteland behind the local church and has an overall modd to it that could only be described as sad. We planned to stay a week and left after 3 days. It is a sad place.
