We arrived at a most unfortunate time, right in the middle of a large wedding reception.
However despite being rushed off their feet the staff were welcoming and courteous.
We had a very nice room with balcony and magnificent views overlooking the lake, and once the hubbub of the reception had subsided it was quiet and peaceful.
We wanted somewhere for two nights out of Arona but with lake views,and this could not have been better.There is a private parking area next to the hotel.
The restaurant enjoys lakeviews and the food was excellent although the menu was somewhat limited.

During my business trip to arona I had the great chance to sleep at such a beautiful place. Only some walls and bathrooms need to be restored shortly as the WiFi signal needs to be intensified not to lose connection during usage.

We had a one night stay here a year ago. We looked forward to returning and had requested a room with a balcony this year. We were very happy to find that we had been allocated a second floor room with a terrace which was almost as large as our room.
The room was quiet, clean and comfortable, and the view over to the Rocca di Angera with the lake shimmering in the sun was perfect. Breakfast was very tasty and relaxed. We ate in the hotel's restaurant on the three nights and could not fault it.
Sadly, while we were at the hotel there was a ridiculous quantity of shield bugs in the area so we were unable to use our lovely balcony. But that is nature, not the hotel's responsibility.
We look forward to our third visit.

We stayed at this hoterl not realising when we booked it that it was so far out of the centre of Arona all uphill. It would be impossible to walk upo and down to the centre. Limited parking in the hotel itself and we had to wait as someone had parked behind us. Chaotic organisation. We arrived at the same time as two wedding parties and a large group of Americans so check in was chaotic.Family run but basically the son does everything. Did not like the fact that our documents were taken and not returned until check out. One couple forgot theirs and came back later when they realised. They were from Luxembourg so lucky they realised in time. Food was good and service professional in the restaurant but we queued for the wedding guests to leave before we could eat! Infestation of cockroach like creatures in the bedroom was a major problem which staff were aware of but was not pleasant for us. They offered to spray but did not want to breathe in that all night. Wifi only worked in entrance area. Would not return.

I wondered what rating to give this hotel. The location is beautiful, with a spectacular view of Lake Maggiore. This is a small, family run hotel and the staff are all very helpful. It looks as if some money has been spent on refurbishment and our room was nicely presented in a modern, minimalist style. Mattress was average. However, sleep quality was very poor as most of the floors are wooden. The real problem was that our room, room 2 on the first floor, was right over the dining room and from 6:30 each morning we heard constant clatter as breakfast was put out. A room on the 2nd floor might be better. The breakfast was the run of the mill buffet, consisting of 2 choices of cereal, cold ham & cheese and some bread and pastries. We ate dinner at the hotel a couple of times and the food was good. You can walk down into Arona in half an hour; taxis are expensive and cost 10 Euros and more if you want to go further afield as they come from Arona. The free Wifi was erratic if you were in the bar and non-existent in our room.
