The hostel is a great place to stay if you want to get away from the hussle and bussle , the hostel is very isolated and the best way to get there is by car.
the rooms are very clean but very stuffy at night, if you do book a room ask for one with a huge balcony door if you want to breathe at night .
The facilty here are great , the swimming pool is perfect to cool down after a hot day .

When you book please be sure that you get a room in the front of the buildings, and you'll enjoy spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea and....Africa!
It's a big space, with swimming pool, big canteen and big areas. The corridors are big too and the rooms have an on-the-average size, the bathrooms are quite clean and very bright.
The breakfast is included in the price and you can count with milk, juice, bread, cheese, ham and marmalade/butter.
Despite its views the location is not in the center of Algeciras, it's in the road to Tarifa so it's better if you have your own car...in what concerns to public transport I don't know, because I used my own car.
In sum, if you don't want to spend much money but want to have a decent and clean place to stay, choose this hostel!

I stayed in this youth hostel in March. It is about 8 miles west of Algeciras, on the road to Tarifa, set in the National Park. Buses run several times a day but it would be a better place to stay if you had your own transport. It gets very windy but the view across to Africa is wonderful. The staff were friendy and helpful (some spoke English), the breakfast had real coffee which was a treat. The room was good and clean. I used it as a base to go to Gibraltar, Tarifa, Morocco and walking in the Park. I would recommend this hostel to out-door types who don't mind being well away from city life and like fresh air. By the way you may need to explain at the bus station in Algeciras, when you buy your ticket, exactly where you want to go and tell the driver to stop for you at the entrance on the road. Having a bit of Spanish will help
