Nice clean room, friendly staff, average facilities. However this hotel is in a great location near the old town and the promenade. Reception staff were excellent. The city tour bus goes from right outside. I recommend that if time in Nice is limited.

Tired room with fantastic views. Some furniture upgrades would surely bump up the quality of this tired little hotel. The Housekeeping also needs improvement. There was a weird stench in the hallway, almost like sewage spills. Other then that, great views (if you paid for it) and Super convenient location!

First time traveling so late in the year to Nice and was pleasantly surprised with the 22-24 degrees max. Was there specifically to visit the Eileen Gray house in Roquebrune which was amazing!!!
Fantastic location (garden view )as stated in previous reviews. I was on the 4th floor and tbh when I saw the room I was a bit worried at first when I saw his close the bed was to the door which opened out onto a tiny balcony. The door didn’t lock at all (see pics) and as at times I sleep walk I really was afraid of getting up in the night opening the door and falling down from the balcony.
I spoke with the very nice receptionist who suggested I close down the electric shutters at nights which I did but I would worry about this balcony if there are children in the room. I do believe it is a safety issue and should be reviewed by the hotel.
Slept really well ! Bed was so comfy!! Shower looks like it’s new and was a pretty large walk in space.
Had breakfast one of the mornings and it was very good ...professional and very helpful staff assisting when necessary. Beautiful views as well.
Room is dark and pretty small but it’s the location that matters in my opinion. Btw there is a late night(2am close) salsa bar right next to the hotel but this did not-effect me as I was overlooking place massena .

This hotel is located at a stone’s throw from the Mediterranean Sea on one side and Place Massena (tourist attraction) on the other. It was a small room with three single beds for three of us. It had a small balcony which offered beautiful views of the French Riviera. Airport shuttle had a drop off point merely minutes from this hotel. Very good location!

Albert 1er is a short walk to Cours Saleya, Place Massena and the Promenade des Anglais. My room was on the 5th floor with a wee view of Place Massena. Room 514 is located in a quiet space, has a great bathroom and it has lots of storage. The housekeeping team kept the room clean each day and Maya, the one in charge of the breakfast room was the best staff member--she was consistently bright and cheery every morning. She made my day everyday of my stay. The breakfast was delicious, substantial and offered variety. The location was excellent---it is closed to the bus stop where we took buses on trips to Saint Paul de Vence and Grasse. We took the tram from Place Massena to get to the train station to go to Ventimiglia. Great restaurants are within walking distance. Cours Saleya, my favorite area, is nearby. For years, we stayed at a hotel on rue Massena, a pedestrian only street, but the street was always packed with people and noisy. It is quiet where Albert 1er is. Quiet does not necessarily mean it's boring or dull. It's just perfect for me.
