Lovely week at the end of season, October half term. Hotel was very quiet, weather was very good for first 5 days. Definitely had a bit of an end of term feel about it but that didn't really detract from the holiday.
We arrived late at night but got a very warm welcome and thoughtfully some sandwiches and drinks in the room, which made a big difference.
Hotel room was very clean and spacious. We were in Electra suite as a family of 4 with access to shared pool 'private' to that block. This was really nice.
Food was good, with fair amount of choice for a week. All inclusive tariff was well worth it for us and we ate in the main restaurant buffet every night except for BBQ night which was also included. Other restaurants, I believe, are at an extra cost.
Staff were very helpful and courteous. Polite and lovely.
Daily yoga was great but there weren't a lot of activities going on for the kids (11 and 12 years) perhaps because it was end of season. Pools and sea were understandably cold.
Crete is lovely. One trip out to Lasithi Plateau which is well worth seeing, and knossos palace which was interesting.
Overall, we had a lovely relaxing time just as we wanted, and we would consider going again, especially if there was more for the kids to do.

My husband and I just came back after we spent a beautiful week in this wonderful resort. We didn't even leave the resort it was so beautiful. The place is gorgeous with beautiful swimming pools, the staff is friendly and nice and always willing to help, and the food is great. can't ask for a better getaway and will definitely return again. We were All inclusive and had a chance to enjoy meals in A la carte restarunat too, The greek night in el greco was really nice and entertaining.

Great hotel, room and swimming pools. Nice and helpful people and very good service. Next to the beach and sea !! Good food with buffets, nice bar. Everything is really clean. Even in October, I recommend a stay in Crete and in this hotel.

Magnificent resort and stuff. I'm very excited with the hospitality of the food and Beverage team.
I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a place to relax and enjoy vacations.

We arrived late on the first day and were served a good meal in the Candia restaurant. The waiting staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room we were allocated was not to our liking as it had twin beds - we'd asked for a double and instead of a coffee table and two armchairs we had a "daybed". We took this up with reception who assured us that we would be moved next morning.
After a good breakfast in the El Greco Restaurant, we went to reception and the helpful staff found us a room which was just right for us. It still had twin beds but that was sorted later that afternoon.
Our room was on the ground floor and opened onto our shared pool. The weather was great and it was lovely and quiet by our pool.
The only real downside to the holiday was the main restaurant which was more like a "canteen". Very large and open, and noisy. The food and service were good but the environment was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel.
