A beautiful hotel

The service was superior, the room was massive- huge bedroom, large bathroom with a bath and twin-basins. Our room and bathroom had alot of space and light. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, exceeded expectations. Thank you.

Hello all travelers. I would like to recommend this hotel. It is very nice hotel with nice interior. Furniture is fancy. Bathroom fantastic. Breakfast is divine. Biig beds, perhaps too limited movement space and no space to put your laptop on. Another disadvantage is parking space - they have no own parking lot. In front of hotel is place for firefighters. So you have to move your for 100 m to public parking lot. In my case WIFI sopped working.
Cheap though inconvenient layout

Cute boutique hotel in an area without many options. Though we asked for a tub, we were given a tiny room with a corner shower. The room was clean but tiny and full of giant over-stuffed furniture so two people can't really move around. On the second day, we moved the huge chairs into a corner and that helped make it more navigable. The bathroom was even more tiny, I would have to angle my knees not to hit the sink stand or heater when I sat on the toilet. There was always construction or groups of people outside the window. The wifi was great and the owners nice. For the price and location it was okay, just not relaxing as the fiance and I were always knocking into each other.
One thing that was confusing is that even though there is a coffee machine in the lobby, you need to ask them to make you coffee and there is a charge. Also, there are some great restaurants in Laubach but none of them are open until 6pm so plan in advance for lunch.

Second stay here in 4 years and nothing has changed, so points for consistency :-) We opted to include breakfast which is a typical vast array of German crusty rolls and all the sliced meats, cheeses, eggs etc you could ask for. The hotel is unique in its decor from the dog at the door to the murals in all the rooms (perhaps only the bathrooms?)to the old train section in the lobby. Spotlessy clean and comfortable beds. My only complaint would be the lack of bathroom counter space and poor bathroom lighting - also typical in Europe. There was a lovely makeup mirror on the wall but it was too dark to see what I was doing. There is a LOT to do in Laubach...a castle, galleries, fabulous walks...but because we travel in the off season sites aren't always open. Google and call ahead if you travel here before May. This is another lovely place to visit off the well beaten tourist path.
Best Hotel in Laubach

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during a business trip in Laubach last November. The hotel is practically new, relatively hi-tech and the decor is fabulously fresh - with hand painted themes (or rather nudes) on bathroom walls. Rooms are very comfortable and cosy, even with temperatures well below zero outside. Breakfast was somehow limited but otherwise good. Staff is nice and friendly, however communication other than in German might be that little bit tricky. The hotel is situated on the main road right in the centre of Laubach - very close to the old castle. It's a pitty that occupancy is relatively low in this hotel. I've stayed in other hotels in Laubach in the past - and I can say that this is the best of them all. Prices are very reasonable too. I will definately stay in this hotel, on my next trip to Laubach. By the way for a good beer and an awesome dinner, I would recommend the pub/restaurant inside the old castle - sorry I don't remember the name but will be very easy to find.
