This place is falling apart

I stayed a couple of nights in this hotel in Jbail for business and it's a very disappointing venue compared to what the gorgeous city of Byblos has to offer close-by. My room was literally falling apart, whether the fridge's door (that fell down), the towel's handles (that fell down), the curtains (that fell down). There is only one electrical plug in the entire room (hidden behind your bed's pillows if you are still looking) and the built-in "desk" is smaller than a laptop.
And to top it with a cherry on top, my room's floor was also hosting a sports team which preferred to leave their doors open and shout their conversations around...
The only great thing about this hotel is the breakfast and the breakfast room which offers a gorgeous view of the sea and the surrounding Byblos hills and ruins. It's also very central and minutes away from the old souk and the public (formerly known as "TamTam") beach.

checked in there after a terrible experience in another hotel.. the reception guy was amazing and very helpful.. he showed us the available rooms and gave us the option to choose the one we like more.. the room service is great they even sent us a complimentary proseco bottle to ensure we get rid of the tension we had because of the other hotel.
Nice hotel

The hotel is nice and the personnel is collaborative and ready to give advices and help.
The view from the rooftop is amazing: having a drink there at sunset is a unique experience.
Rooms not so big, but clean and well organized, a little bit slow breakfast service (both european and libanese recipes).
Great stay walking distance to the old town

I spent 3 nights at the Aleph while visiting Byblos, the room was very clean and comfortable. The hotels location is perfect as it is only a 5 minute walk to the old town and main attractions of the city as well as the beach. Great roof top bar from where one can watch spectacular sun sets over the Citadell. Staff were also very friendly and helpful, arranging a day trip to Harissa as well as taxi transfers.
Shame to Lebanese hostellery

This hotel is a 4 stars but should be rated half a star or no star at all.
Nothing is good in it. They should pay us to stay there.
First we arrived, our room was very dirty with rubbish still in the bins. We can get electrocuted using The hair dryer ..
The sheets very unclean. The fridge inside room dirty and containing half empty bottles. The air conditionner was out of order, they asked us to wait on the balcony of our room to fix it!!!.......
Worse experience ever.
Ministry of tourism should get informed.
I don't recommend it at all.
