What People are saying
Nothing negative, nothing explosive: just OK...

...but very nice and helpful staff.
The place can get crowded, as it is used by many tour operators. I stayed three nights and saw busloads of Poles, Lebanese, Germans and Chinese engulf the 2 elevators: simply not enough for such a large place!
As someone put it before me: the place is stuck in the late 80's - 90's and is a bit rundown, but has some really nice people looking after it and its guests.
Event

If event wouldn't be in this hotel then definitely there is no chance I would pick it. OK lets got step by step. In elevators there is HUGE note that keycard need to be in slot. But when you enter in the room slot it's useless. Then behind next door-bathroom. OK sink was working, but 🚿....im speeches. All corners was yellow and dirty. Doors to enter 🚿 very slim. Couldn't even turn.
Now room. Bed hard as planks. Pillows have disgusting smell. TV little bigger then 10" tablet. In fridge 2 bottles of water--2€ each. View through the windoe....well there was no view..too much dust and dirt on the window.
So conclusion: if you have chance pick some hotel in close area and wall for a while. Will be good for your wallet..also for your ♥
Well it's up too you
Convenient Slightly Old World Charming Hotel

It's a very functional, charming hotel in that service is courteous, efficient and helpful. The architecture of this eight floor hotel spa is quietly endearing though first impression is that it's a bit gloomy. It isn't though, it's an old fashioned hotel with superb marble columns and marble front desk, frescoed and chandeliered dining room of a past era, (gilt and gold trimmed) but tastefully updated with good Italian modern design furniture. It's pleasantly different to chain hotels, though just as huge.
Reception works incredibly swiftly and no problem is beyond them.
The bedroom we had was on the small side, a bit crude, the wardrobe was small, the curtains didn't draw back but the bed was comfortable, linens were crisp and it was quiet - except for the hum of some distant generator.
The bathroom was too dimly lit but the tiling was marble so this fine old quality redeemed it some.
The outdoor spa pool and deck was a wonderful place to lounge and feel well, the indoor pool was a bit too functional for my liking. I didn't have the opportunity to try the spa massages or treatments unfortunately.
Breakfast in the massive dining room was good and abundant - nothing exceptional. Dinner was ok. Very 'hotel food'.
We stayed at the hotel because it is associated with the hospital across the street and offers a nice rate for a night stay and a reduced rate for the same double room with single occupancy (whilst the patient stays in hospital, the partner has the room in the hotel!)
I was fond of it and my companion was very comfortable too. He enjoyed the antique furniture and the lapis lazuli (?)reception desk and the comfortable seating areas in the reception.
Superb location in the central spa part of AbanoTerme. Not a luxury hotel but a functional one - with a hot spring pool!
Rundown hotel with poor service

We have just spent three nights in this hotel during our trip to Venice. I guess our tour operator chose it because its prices are cheap. It was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had:
The staff was rude (I wanted to pay the room bill at the reception at 6.50 a.m. because we had to leave early but I cannot pay because it is allowed only from 7.00 and they said there is no exception, I should come back after that.)
The room was dirty, shabby, the design was terrible, trying to be arty. Also the elevators looked like they were made 50 years ago.
At the breakfast, when I tried to get coffee from the machine the cups were small and the cappuccino always run out from the cup.
On 2 nights out of the three, the dinner was inedible, e.g. the tiramisu’s cake was still frozen when they served it. Only the salad and the pasta were good. They served the food very slowly, the dinner lasted more than two hours.
The hotel is about 55 km far from Venice, yet it lasted 1 hour 45 minutes to get there by bus because of the traffic jam on the highway in the morning. It is too far away if one wants to visit Venice.
All in all, the hotel is said to be four star but in my opinion, it does not even reach the three star level. The only advantage of the hotel is that it is cheap, I would not recommend it to anyone.
Stuck in time

The hotel is just fine, nothing in special really, it says it's a 4-star hotel but the design is outdated, stuck in the 90's, old couches, old deco: table cloths, etc. The shower had white stains, the floor looked dirty, the closet was tearing down, etc. The food was 'okay' nothing special: pasta with different shapes and sauces, potatoes EVERY SINGLE day for 4days of our stay there, wasn't able to try the pool or the spa. I haven't tried their desserts cuz theu serve food sooooo SLOWLY!! Not all waiters and waitresses smile at you. Anyways, I only liked the people I went with and the conference I attended but not the hotel itself. I think other hotels were better.
