We stayed one night at Hedley House at the end of our trip, but I would have enjoyed more. The room was comfortable and spacious--and our own little deck off the back overlooking Smith Cove was very nice. There are flowers and flowering bushes all over the grounds, which just added to the charm. Joann was a warm and friendly hostess, and it is clear she enjoys meeting people and hearing their stories. While we enjoyed her home-baked muffins at breakfast, she shared some stories of her own and sang a few songs for us. It was an unexpected and delightful treat.

This place is so cute I don't want to leave.It's decorated like a beach cottage on a budget.The view out of the patio are of the Bay of Fundy, you can watch the tide roll in and out. 2 burner electric stove,small fridge,small table. Breakfast reminded me of a European breakfast. Joann made my husband with Celiacs a egg omelet. The best part of it all was Joann and her husband sang and played a beautiful song they wrote.
We stopped eating to hear her voice and words she wrote..I hope to come back some day.

We stayed one night at Hedley House and will probably not forget it for awhile! Albert and Joanne were great hosts and very accommodating. They sang during breakfast and are quite talented. Joanne has a lovely voice and writes songs, also. We had a long wait for the ferry on the day we left and Joanne kindly drew us a little map giving us sight-seeing recommendations which were right on point!
The bed was comfortable and we got a good nights sleep. The bathroom is quite small in this 1950s motel. The view from the private deck was great. The grounds are well kept. The dinner recommendation was perfect!! Great motel!

We enjoyed three nights in July 2017, with spectacular sunsets and views from our private deck. Bed was very comfortable and we both got good nights sleep. Yes, this is a 2+ star motel and the bathroom and especially the shower is very small. But, you knew that when you booked! The grounds are lovely, and the room was very clean and
good sized. Our hosts were a delight and their breakfast music was wonderful. We'll be back next year!

One night stay on route to other locations (road trip) but ideal for staying longer. Comfortable bed and good for watching evening sun and sipping a beer /wine on your own private deck which goes down to the beach area. Kitchenette ideal after a days travel to prepare at leisure your own meal..why not take advantage and kick off your shoes ? Morning brought great hosts with a wonderful continental breakfast included and singing..live singing by these talented hosts. If you have never been serenaded to over your morning coffee....this is the place. I want to go back .
