We stay at Allison House whenever we can get reservations for game weekends. They provide us a little wallet relief from the ridiculous prices that are being charged in downtown Tallahassee. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The owners are very accommodating and helpful with recommendations for places to dine and things to do in the surrounding areas. It is a little bit of a drive to get down to the stadium, but it is a straight shot with relatively few lights.

Our stay at The Allison House Inn was wonderful! Although the City of Quincy is not a major destination, there are plenty of places near by to visit. Quincy itself has a very nice art museum as well as many historic homes to check out. The Historic Downtown and the surrounding area are full of quaint shops and the City of Havana, a 10 minute drive away, has tons of antique shops and great restaurants. If you're looking for more nightlife, Tallahassee is only approximately a 25-30 minute scenic drive away. The owners of The Allison, Stuart and Aileen, were very hospitable. We highly recommend anyone passing through or even just looking for a nice retreat to check this beautiful, historic home out!

I booked this room for my husband at the last minute. He had to go to Quincy florida and I couldn't leave to drive him so he had to spend the night. He is disabled and couldn't drive there and back in one day. He said that the room was very nice and the people were nice. The problem was that they say they give you a hot breakfast and that was one of the reasons I booked with them. My husband was worn out when he got there so didn't eat dinner. The next morning he was happy to smell bacon and eggs cooking when he got up. He went to the dining room only to be given a muffin and some fruit and a cup of coffee. He said that he was told he was the only guest at the time. I am not sure why a bed and breakfast couldn't give him the same breakfast they cooked for themselves. How much work would it have been to make another plate? I'm sure the hospitality would be appreciated by the next guest.

AC was broken in the room he set us up in, had to move to a diff room. Poor WIFI, very slow. I told owner abt my animal allergies @ the time of rsvp, he told me there w/b NO animals in the home, yet He has a dog in the house, so I suffered. Traffic noise was loud & constant, dead roach in our room for the 3 days of our stay, no place to sit outside, grounds were unkempt, only food was fast food joints for 15 miles, nothing to do in town. The owner Stewart was confrontational whenever we said anything, but his wife was nice & helpful. The breakfast he served was ok, not great. The home was probably nice at one time.

Our stay was a great disappointment. The host was congenial and the house which he was at great pains to show us was undoubtedly historically interesting but when temperatures hit -1C in the night there were no extra blankets in the cupboards and we froze. In the morning, after a terrible night's sleep, an elaborate show of listing the options, resulted in nothing more than a motel offering i.e. fruit juice, cereal, coffee and muffins. Where were the eggs and bacon? - we asked, as did the other guests at our table. No we didn't ask our host. If it wasn't offered and we had to ask - well.....
