We had all of our guests stay at the Aloft for our wedding at Ardenwood Farms. The Aloft staff are incredible. My wife and I worked with Jilly who treated us like family. She consistently went above and beyond to help us get sorted, feel comfortable, meet our price point, create a website...I could go on and on. This was the best hotel for all of us!
We took up about 30% of the hotel rooms and all of our guests said that the hotel was beautiful, we all loved the Botler, and our honeymoon suite was wonderful. The pool and hot tubs are added bonus, too! Last thing, the food at the hotel was actually really delicious. Love this place and I highly recommend the stay for as long as you can.

Stayed 2 nights at the Aloft in Newark. Check in staff was helpful and check in was quick and easy. He explained all the amenities of the hotel and made me feel welcome. I last stayed here when the hotel was called the W. it doesn't look like it has been updated since the change to Aloft. The carpets were worn in some spots and the bathroom looked tired. That being said, the room and hotel was both clean. The room was a good size with a couch and desk. The room also had a sink, fridge, microwave and big screen TV. I ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the food was excellent and the service was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Had the chance to stay at the Aloft Silicon Valley for a week in the end of October and start of November and was looking forward for this experience.
I arrived at the hotel around 2pm and asked the guy in the front desk if they had any rooms ready for check-in but they didn't, so they asked me if i wanted to enroll in a list for they call me when the room would be ready, I declined and told him that i was gonna wait there. After 3PM i noticed a lot of people checking in and they didn't call me, so I went to the front desk again and asked if my room was ready, to my surprise he told me that my name was not on the list so i'd have to wait the other guests.... Well, I told him that if the name on the list was REQUIRED than he shouldn't have asked me if i did WANT TO put my name on the list... That's when a girl, maybe the manager came, and did my check-in. After this problem I went to the room and had such a nice surprise, a very large room with couch, a desk, a kitchen (with sink, microwave, fridge and a coffee machine), a nice bathroom with separate hot tub and shower. The only problem i found while staying there (after the check-in problem) was that in 7 days i got my room cleaned 3 days only. Overall the hotel is very nice, very close to the dumbarton Bridge (route 84) and Facebook. It has a fast wi-fi and free parking.

Last minute hotel rooms can be difficult to book in this area. I wasn’t keen on staying on this side of the bridge due to the constant traffic that makes commuting to my client difficult, but gave it a shot. The area around the hotel was not lively? No coffee shops or restraints suitable for a business dinner. Running in the morning or evening outside felt creepy as a single woman- no one else running or out, so desolate. The hotel was fine. Room service was just ok. Food was over salted. The hotel restaurant was a joke- looked like a hallway with some tables tossed in.
My room needed upkeep. The deadbolt on my door was hanging by a nail- no way housekeeping/maintenance didn’t see that. Also, the windows were stuck closed- they were also filthy to touch. Debris under both beds in the room. Mold in bathroom- the usual. There were no plugs near the bed so had to crawl under the bed to plug in. Ended up leaving my plug and charger in the room. Called 5 mins after checkout, but was already stuck in traffic on the bridge. No one called me back. Called several more times. Desk clerk finally answered when I called at 3 am local time two days later and said she had it and would send to me. Never received it. Called several more times and now the front desk has admitted they lost it.
It’s just an ok hotel. Prefer the area on the other side of the bridge and obv not happy with customer service.

Rooms were large and comfortable. There is limited food for breakfast and dinner, which can be an issue if you don't have a car since the nearest outlets are about 1.3 miles away. Room service is delivered by a robot (it is Silicon Valley!).
