Vacation in the Dolomiti mountains
Andrea Bon 16/08/2017 10:24AlpenHotel Panorama is a wonderful structure in a quiet and beautiful place, run by a very nice family. They are the real heart of the place, which, in the end, is their own home also. It is perfect for families and whoever seeks relaxing and joyful vacations. It has a great restaurant and comfortable rooms, most of which have been remodeled recently. The hotel has a large green bordering the nearby wood. It is situated in an off-the-road area, a dozen of minutes walk away from the center of Campitello.
The prices are not especially cheap, but overall it is worth what it costs.
Family skiing holiday with friends
Sarah Bon 26/02/2017 18:17Our room was very pretty with lots of wooden detail, and a lovely shower with super strong water jets. The hotel is kept nice and warm so you can strip down to a T-shirt after a day in the snow. Excellent varied breakfast with freshly baked cakes and a good selection of savoury things. The first evening supper was a bit iffy (maybe the chef has Saturday nights off!) but it only got better . Delicious meals often with real local flavour and the kitchen was happy to cater for my vegetarian needs. The lady owner was always to hand both in the reception area and the dining room if she was needed. Pleasant reception rooms on ground floor where you can have a drink or do homework with kids. Very good children's entertainer in the afternoons/evening. The hotel is a pleasant 10/15 minute walk through village or along river to the cable car to the slopes. It's a good idea to rent a spot to store skis at cable car so you don't have to carry them . The wellness area is a bit small.
We will return next year
Michaelsorotoson 16/01/2016 19:47We visited Alpenhotel Panorama with our 3yr old daughter and we are definitely coming back next year.
Pros:
1) Hotel seemed like it was built yesterday. Everything was clean and in perfect condition and the attention to detail was seen everywhere. Rooms are very well decorated and I am sure that at the price we got it no other place offers anything similar.
2) Chef Marco offered us everyday excellent quality food also personalized for our 3yr old daughter and I am really sorry I did not have the chance to personally thank him for that.
3) Elena and Dumy were great at serving us and taking care of us.
4) hotel's location was perfect. Just in front of the training pitch were me and our daughter had skiing lessons. 5 minutes walk from the center of town and 5 min bus ride from the Col Rodella station (I actually walked to the station since it is only 600m away)
5) The Zanoner family offered us a warm welcome and the front desk girl was great at giving us everyday tips.
6) pricing
7) the great Phil who spend time with our daughter and the other children before and after dinner time.
Cons (more like constructive comments):
1) the wellness center is great but I found it a bit small. I can imagine that when the hotel is packed it can be hard to actually use it.
Keep on the good work.
A fantastic hotel in the Italian Alps
myls2goon 06/07/2015 21:42This hotel is small, but so clean, so reasonable & the staff (especially Heidi) were wonderful! The views are unbelievable! We ate dinner there, which was superb, and they also had a great buffet breakfast! They have a very relaxing spa and an area with swings where you can relax & take in the magnificent views. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. They have a small bar in this hotel. The hotel is basically located at the end of a dead end road (due to the mountains). There is a waterfall & rushing creek nearby. If you're craving the city life, then this is not your place, but if you LOVE nature, breath taking scenery, good food, good prices, and clean & comfortable rooms, then you must stay here if you are in the area!
Excellent! Wholesome! Simply wonderful!
DCAficionadoon 03/03/2015 07:36Having chosen this hotel in a bit of a hurry and almost last-minute, we were thrilled to be welcomed to a clean, friendly, well-run family place. Everything is geared towards a fabulous skiing experience: breakfast starts early and includes a fairly good selection of proteins and carbs; a reasonably priced and well-run ski rental place was recommended to us at the reception; maps of the slopes and area guides are available in multiple languages; the rooms are warm and the common areas are spacious and pleasant; the apres-ski hour can be thoroughly enjoyed in the hotel's cafe/bar area (delicious hot chocolate!); dinners are plentiful and delicious, with a fantastic emphasis on local specialties (there was even a special local foods evening).
We chose the half-board option and are likely never going to choose differently -- it is the best way to maximize one's skiing experience while minimizing the stress of having to look for diverse meal options while tired and hungry (and you do get hungry on those excellent slopes!).
A final word about service -- it does make a difference, and is a major reason why we are already planning to go back next year. Everyone was friendly and professional, and on top of that, there was a wholesome warmth that we found precious.
Simply wonderful.
