Good but.......not what it was!

This was our seventh visit with our children to the Enzian previously we have often visited for New Year - this time we visited at UK schools half term- this probably speaks for itself. However, whilst as many other reviewers have commented, the hotels facilities with parking, spa, pool, ski in/out and brilliantly appointed rooms are wonderful and almost peerless there has been a notable change in dining room service and hospitality. This may be associated with the change of ownership in Nov 2016 the previous family having built up and developed the whole offer brilliantly. The warm welcome of the bar and sun terrace staff (which is still there) is no longer replicated by the restaurant team - here they are led by frankly a surly and bruske maitre d'! Breakfast is now an unseemly exercise in queuing for the manual juicer or single "machine" coffee point which is a shame and service requests for coffee, tea or hot chocolate were met with severe glares! We did mention our concerns and eventually efforts were made to address some of these items but you do get the feeling the food and beverage offer is being downgraded- which is a shame.
Regardless if you want a snow sure location with skischool and easy lift access this is still the place for you. We would still return ourselves but would be mindful to check for service updates first. Having experienced this place at its zenith we hope the service drop is just a glitch and the new owners will get control shortly.
A fab hotel in a great ski area, and little focus back on good old fashioned service and I would not hesitate with 5 stars!
Very Nice hotel on the slope - ski in ski out

We had a beautiful suite with view on he ski slopes. The room was very spacious as was the terrace.
Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful although the service around dinner felt a little bit "nervous". There was more than enough staff but the organization seemed to be a bit gone.
The dinner (included in our half board stay) was good but not very good. Breakfast however was very good, very nice freshly baked omelette!
One of the major reasons to stay in this hotel is the location. This is super, you can literally ski in and out of the hotel and the terrace of the hotel has a lovely view over the slopes and is situated on the south so super sunny apres ski drinks assured.
Sölden is a great ski area, snow is guaranteed on the gletschers. If you want to go for apres ski Hochsölden is not the place to be, you will have to go the Sölden village.
Friendly service and great breakfast

Service was very friendly, both a the front desk and at the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent, everything you would ever need and more.
Dinner was ok, and since it is not easy to go for dinner in the city, we ended up having the halfboard. Hotel location is very good for skiing but not as convenient for after ski or night life: only way back to the hotel from the city is a shuttle (last run at 6pm) or taxi, cost 35€.
Spa area was good but the Austrian style of unisex saunas without swimsuits was too uncomfortable for us. Luckily there was a bath tub in our room.
Great hotel!

We went tot Enzian in Hochsolden last week with al group of 7 friends. This was not the cheapest hotel, but definitley worth the money. I can't say a bad thing about it. Clean and spacious rooms, great rood (breakfast and dinner), great facilities (pool, wellness, terrace,...) , very friendly staff, hotel is right at the skislope,...
Only small downside is that if you want your après-ski or party you have take a taxi to Sölden, because there is not much to see in Hochsolden. I am definitley coming back to Enzian for another skitrip in the future.
Friendly atmosphere

Great stay with good facilities and a very welcoming and personal attitude. Perfect ski in - ski out! Situated at ca. 2000 m so the views are spectacular. But remember to bring pain killers in case you get altitude sickness - hotels in Austria are not allowed to give out aspirin or the like and the pharmacy is a long way if you're feeling ill.
