There are a lot of good things about this hotel which others have already listed and I will not repeat it.
However, here are some aspects they should improve on if they have to be rated 5 star. I would not be seeing these as issues if the hotel was listed with fewer stars and was less expensive.
1. Room was not made up till late afternoon.
2. Staff gave conflicting information about whether the metal window screen can be opened and closed using the button available in the room. In the end, I was told it had to be manually moved if I requested but I prefer to have the control over the button.
3. They had a power outage one day which I was informed of in advance. But they lost internet and tv access for the next 10-12 hours after power was restored. I would have thought they would have been prepared for that.
4. I was told coffee pods were going to be replaced everyday but it did not happen. I did not bother to ask them
5. One of the showers near the sauna/steam room was broken and was not working - and looked like it had been like that for some time.
5. While the location is great and is away from the city center, it still does not get you away from the noise unless your room is at the river end. There is traffic noise almost 24/7.

Very nice place to stay with a loved one, nice setting, nice view. Good food. There is only one thing a small selection of food at the bar. The restaurant is only open since 19.40 :(. Could have been a little earlier or more choice of food at the bar

We booked a Deluxe room for 2 nights at Altis Belem and wish we had stayed there longer. This property delivered not only impeccable service, but they were kind and generous and that is something that some brands forget to provide. Arthur made our little guy feel like an explorer and a king in Lisbon giving him treats and suprises. Those memories are priceless.
The hotel is themed around Portuguese discovery and voyages. Each room is unique and highlights the country's rich history. Belem is, of course, a Mecca of heritage yet Altis figured out how to blend in modern luxury and design. Our Deluxe room was very spacious, the views were fantastic and the beds were incredibly plush.
I work in the hospitality industry. Altis Belem gets it right.

Apart from Lisbon having amazing shops, food and drink this hotel is also a fantastic place to stay, relax and be merry. The staff members are always there to help and the presidential suit is spot on.

Magnificient SPA and Pools (both indoor and outdoor), tranquillity and professionalism in the SPA, one of the best gourmet restraurants we had dinner in for a very long time. Top !
The location couldn't be any better, smelling the see breeze and yet close to excellent museums.
