Neat rooms. scenic location on the banks of Amaravathi. Also having playing area for kids and adults also. Very must visitable place in weekend with families...V have a nice time on our visit. Green lawns, gardens, river.. wow.. natural lovers must also visit.

The people around here are rude, moody and proud as if they have the whole world on their head. They have converted coconut avenues into a resort, but poorly maintained. What's the point to stay in an exotic location if you can't sit outside any where in the resort around sunset and after until morning. If you don't stay indoors with closed doors you may catch dengue or malaria. There are so many mosquitoes around here. Their swimming pool is terrible with mosquito larvae floating around every where. It seems they never clean the rooms or wash those duvets. Their breakfast every day is same boring with terrible taste. I came here with booking.com for 3 nights where the website clearly confirms your booking but you pay once you reach the resort. But here in this Ambrra river resort the moody and rude manager told me that they can offer me only 2 nights accomodation on thursday and friday nights and not on saturday night. He did not even care to look the printout showing confirmed booking. Anyways you did not pay any money, now i will take money for 2 nights. I had no choice as i was with my wife and kid and it was late in the evening. But believe me it was great relief to vacate this place after 2 nights. There were better places and I went to valparai. Look out for more exotic locations like valparai tea estates or parambikulam.

The resort has two types of cottages. It is located inside coconut grove with greenery all round. Nice restaurant tastefully decorated. Cottages and restaurant are modeled on a log-house concept. The rooms are spacious with hot & cold water (Hot water restricted to few hours in the morning & evening as the heating system is eco-friendly). Overall a nice relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff.

Not recommended for a family. Had a forgettable outing. They had allowed a local group of 80+ to use the facility during day time and served the same meals to the guests who paid for the rooms expecting a premium service. Not only the day was bad with LOT OF NOISE from loud speaker's, blaring sound and people wandering all over the place. So much for a relaxing weekend. Cannot enjoy a bit after paying a premium price. Food was pathetic, extremely unreliable, dissatisfied trip. Not returning again. Swimming pool was a big disaster, not cleaned frequently, KIDS got cold and allergies.

Had a very pleasant stay......... we had a family trip to this resort and the stay was very pleasant..... the resort was situated by lake side and the ambiance was excellent.... best place for a weekend getaways..
