TOTAL DUMP!!

This place is a 100% DUMP! Roaches everywhere, on the walls, floors, under bed! GROSS! Bed lamp didn't work, TV remote didn't work. If I could have left and slept ANYWHERE else I would have. I was on a motorcycle, or I would have just went out and slept in my car. I left the lights on to scare the roaches away! Carpet stained and filthy, cig burns all over bathroom sink. And did I mention the ROACHES?! Trying to figure out how to report to the health department. It's THAT bad! I kept all my clothes and everything in the bike I could so not to take home roaches. No Coffee, non working soda machine & ice machine (not that I would have used them and risked drinking Roaches!) This place needs SHUT DOWN until it can be fixed! Reserved two double beds online, to arrive and be told they only have a room with one double bed! It was a mattress on a spring metal frame, like a COT! Horrible!

First of all, this hotel should have it's license revoked and ABVI should obliterate it. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel I have ever stayed at. When I spoke to them on the phone before booking the clerk continually tried to convince me to take a weekly rate even though our stay would only be 4 nights (I suppose this was due to the fact that they rent the rooms to quite a few individuals who live there permanently). The noise level at this place is atrocious!!! If the road noise didn't keep you awake all night, the homeless people and others arguing all night right outside your door did. Yes, Lakeland PD, also spends a lot of time in the parking lot as well. Ice machines never worked, the pool looked nasty, the bedding looked and felt as though it had been there more than 20 years, the carpet was the nastiest I have ever seen (continually had to wash my 4 year old grandson's feet). And forget about housekeeping, between them and the maintenance personnel on site, they should all be fired. The area around the hotel is very LOUD and many vagrants roam the streets throughout the night, I personally watched 3 carloads of LPD arrive on site to deal with several on our 3rd night there. Now the question might be asked "Why didn't you leave?", and the answer is that once you booked online if you don't stay you will loose your money, I am on a very tight income and it took me several months to save for this trip, therefore I could not loose it. My advice to all who read this, AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!! It is not what is pictured to be, ABVI Corporate should be embarrassed to have it in the chain!!! :( :( :( :( :( :( Very unhappy with this site and I will be contacting Corporate ABVI.

Terrible Hotel

This was absolutely the worst experience we have experienced in a hotel. I didn't want to stay after driving up let alone after going inside and then seeing the room which had a musty smell. I felt that we would be charged anyway if we walked away since the time to cancel the room had passed; so I didn't test that option. But that doesn't seem fair since all you have are reviews and pictures posted online and believe me the pictures posted of the hotel were not accurate. Maybe they were in the beginning when the hotel was newer but not in its current state by far. We saw a baby roach in our room. I mentioned this to the front desk and she stated and she said she would mention that to her manager but that no one else had voiced that; although I see that on the 13th of March which is a few days before our reservation someone stated they had 3 roaches in their room. The ice machine was broken and the representative didn't offer any suggestion of how we could get ice for the night. We knew we could drive to a store to get ice but how long had that machine been broken. There was a one-way/single lane to go to the other side of the hotel where your room might be and it was blocked at one time with someones vehicle with a trailer attached. The hotel is on a busy highway and so all night listening to the road noise wasn't helpful for a good nights rest. For $89 a night I expected more. The shower curtain had mildew on it and the shower wall wasn't cleaned well. The table in the room was wood and you could see the splinters where it had been there forever and was breaking down. There was no information about the area, how to use the t.v. for the cable services offered, no information about how to contact the front desk for service; none of the things you find at hotels on the table or in the drawer for room occupants.

the room size was good, but we found 3 roaches in the room, the linen was not change because we found a recipe from Walmart under the bed spread. we asked for a free smoker-room, but guys smoke in the hallway all night. In the next room a couple were making noise all night, and the noise for the traffic was terrible. in the street around the hotel
many hookers and drug addicts. My husband and I made reservations for two days, but we left early morning the first day. this is was the most terrible place that we have been.

On a spring training/car show road trip my brother and I needed a cheap room.
The room was gross and we ran away. Must only be for hookers,druggies and hard-ups. Clerk was perplexed why we wanted out.- Really!
