What People are saying

Expensive for a no frills motel

Joel43_12on 26/10/2017 16:40

Located on the one way south bound Route 101 this was the most we paid during our 12 night trip through Northern California and Oregon. Room was clean, comfortable and included a microwave, fridge, hairdryer, wifi with good cable tv. Continental breakfast was very basic with just apple juice, coffee, toast and muffin. Eureka old town seemed to be very sleepy with few restaurants open and many vagrants on the streets with frequent police car patrols passing by.

Good Location

Right there on Rte 101, which is just a wide avenue in Eureka, makes for a quick exit the next day if you are moving on.

It is right next to Old Town, where there are restaurants and cute shops.

Breakfast wasn't much, no bonus points for that. The room was adequate, nothing too great. All in all an average place that was near things.

old beds and warm rooms

These rooms are very outdated, They tell you it comes with breakfast which is in fact a muffin or a piece of toast. Some milk, apple juice, and coffee. Of the two beds in room 11, only one was even remotely comfortable. One of the mattresses sank about 6 inches when I sat on it. I almost think the mattress is as old as the hotel. The toilet seat bolts were very loose.. There is no air conditioning and not even a fan. It might be Eureka but it was too smoky outside to open the window so my room was hot and stuffy. Very small shower and I had to fight to get its door open. The plus is that the room does have a fridge and microwave. It also came stocked with shampoo which was great. The guy at the front desk seemed friendly enough

Tired motel

The motel is in a so-so part of town. Across from a derelict used car dealer, the homeless are constantly walking about. The exterior is just OK but it fits the area. The price is good, bed was comfortable. It's on a main road that's busy all the time. One good thing is, you're in walking distance to Old Town. But I won't be back.

Would not stay here again

The location is right off the road, made for a lot of road noise. Around the steps going upstairs things were left laying around. Has access to eating at nearby Denny's, or the Smoke House Dinner (which had great food).
