FILTHY
1Scooteron 18/08/2017 03:31Just spent one horrible night there and the motel was FULL, unbelievably! Avoid at all costs. Cigarette holes in the bedspread. Cigrette butts on the window sill. Stains on the chairs. SMELLY. Small. Sleep in your car!. The "continental" breakfast inspires fasting.
Clean and Friendly
patriciapetropou2017on 15/05/2017 06:25The front dest attendant/owner of this hotel is a very nice woman who is extremely accommodating. She went above and beyond to make sure myself and my daughter were happy and had everything we needed during our stay. Also, the rates were extremely reasonable!!
Best Value--it isn't
AlexanderH206on 15/12/2016 05:54We wanted to stay close to downtown Chico, and by accident I had booked Americas Best Value Inn. It was an almost surreal experience. We were received by a very unfriendly clerk for check-in. It seemed that we had interrupted his internet experiences ... Our credit card requires a pin, which our friendly clerk demanded, as the machine would not extend beyond his desk. He was not joking. I then went behind the desk to input our pin. The room itself was awful, worn out carpets, worn out bed, bathroom with holes in the wall and generally not clean. Internet wasn't working either. When complaining about this to the friendly manager, his only comment was, "Mine is working just fine." He was gracious enough to get up and reset the router, as I had proposed, which fixed the problem. We found out during our stay that the heater was not working either, and this with temperatures in the low 40s. Again the phantastic comment, "Did you check the thermostat?" Let me spare you any more details. A lousy stay, and there are very good alternatives in Chico, such as the Thunderbird Motel across the street. Anything would be better.
Surprisingly, no bed bugs.
Kim Oon 05/10/2016 19:13This is the worst place I have ever stayed. We were moved from the room we got at first because the air conditioner didn't work. This room had someone's pocket comb lying on the floor. The next room did have a working air conditioner which was good because the room was 90 degrees because they don't turn on the air conditioner in anticipation of guests. The garbage hadn't been emptied and the towels appeared to have been picked up off the floor and rehung. There was black mold in the toilet and on the walls. The plumbing fixtures and vent fan hung out of the walls and the outside cover to the air conditioner hung loose even though it would have been a simple matter to reattach it. The tiles and the wall in the bathroom were cracked. The room switch did upgrade us from a 20 year old t.v. to a flat screen so there is that. I switched from Motel 6 to America's Budget Inns after a really good experience in Boise Idaho. Chico has pushed me back to Motel 6. Even in a state whose motto should be " I guess that's clean enough" this pest hole stood out.
Thank goodness it was only for 1 night
Mary Ann Bon 09/09/2016 05:51Thank goodness it was only for one night. The room was in very much need of repair and update. The carpet in front of refrigerator was soaking wet, wouldn't be surprised if there was mildew under the carpet. Wall air conditioner unit worked poorly. When we entered the room it smelled mildewy. Everything tin room was dated. Afraid to turn on TV, looked like it may blow up. Bathroom cleanliness was questionable. Wall in entry was damaged, Not sure if bedding was cleaned, stripped off blanket and cover used a sleeping bag to sleep on. Wifi was not available, called front desk...rude obnoxious male was no help. We didn't see any crawling critters, doesn't mean there weren't any. Would never stay here again or recommend. We couldn't wait to check out. Never Again!!!!
