This property is so poorly run. They gave me a room with a broken window and dead roaches on the floor. The adjoining room's door was kept shut with a chair. I left because I felt unsafe and 3 weeks later, I still have not been contacted by the manager for a resolution or even an apology. When I call the front desk clerk Kelly hangs up on me. This is inexcusable and I will never stay at another Red Lion hotel.
Cons Outweigh Pros

So, first when we went to check in, they told us they didn't have a reservation for us. Then they told us that they had us down, but that someone had already checked in, in my name. The manager came in and corrected the lady that we were dealing with. He was very nice, and apologized for the mistake/misleading info and assured us that no one had checked in under my name.
The front desk lady was not enthused at all. She never smiled, wasn't very friendly or welcoming, and actually made me feel like an inconvenience.
Now the room: not impressed. We have stayed at several other America's Best Value Inn locations. We know they are not fancy, but have always found them to be clean and well maintained. Our room was clean, but that's about all I can say. There was a gap in the flooring that was just covered up with the carpet from one wall to the other. The toilet acted like it didn't want to flush. The air conditioner had a hard time keeping up, but finally caught up and froze me in the early morning hours.
The manager was extremely nice, but I can't say the same for the hotel. I was honestly wishing we had stayed somewhere else. If we come back to Champaign, we will be staying somewhere else.

This is not a Hilton but is an off the beaten path hotel that is ckean. A few annoying things though like the hairdryer didnt work nor did the light at the sink but overall most things worked. Clean sheets and clean bathroom.
No frills but clean

We only needed one night and chose this hotel for price and proximity to highway. The staff was friendly and allowed us to check in early. The room was no frills but still had everything we needed. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, soap and shampoo. The was no alarm clock but there was a clock on the microwave and use used our phones for alarms. The room and bathroom and bed was clean. I have to say this was the comfiest bed and pillow ever in a no frills hotel. Only complaint was maid knocked on our door at 10 am to clean the room but check out was 11am. I guess there was our alarm. Overall good for the money.
Never will stay here again. LICE!

I usually don't write hotel reviews, but this place was the worst hotel I've stayed in. I went here so I could do some work on my laptop, when the WiFi pass code didn't work I called up to the front desk. He said the WiFi might be down for that room. I asked if there was a number to call where I could get it fixed or switch to a room with WiFi. He said its too late for that. The pop machine and candy machine were completely empty. It took about 20 minutes to check in. And the reason I'm really upset with this stay is because I got lice. I'm almost positive it was at this hotel because I sleep in my bed every night and have never gotten it, a few days after staying here I got it and now have to get medicine to get rid of it. In my opinion I think the hotel should pay for it. The only reason I'm giving this review a 2 is because the sheets were clean and towels were clean. The room had stains on the carpet, microwave wasn't clean, and the chair was completely broken and falling apart.
