What People are saying

Excellent place to stay in Amman with wonderful staff

RSTBangkokon 13/11/2017 09:48

I have enjoyed staying in Amman Marriott hotel and can recommend to anyone. All staffs are ready not only to help but ensuring that guests are well taken care of and their needs are met with full satisfaction. Hotel is fully equipped with modern amenities, breakfast is lavish with wide variety and ambiance is appealing. I found the room well organised, cleaned properly and interiors good. Security staff is courteous and concierge is attentive to help the guests and provide their best services upon entry and exist to hotel premises.

Nice Room, Good Food, but...

The hotel is nice, clean, and the food was above average, but what was that camera looking thing velcro’d to the bottom of our TV in room 10XX? It wasn’t a remote sensor for the TV. I’d like to know. See the photos I took of it. Amman is a huge bustling city of contrasts.

Claustrophobia

PeterCoombeson 11/11/2017 08:24

Having absorbed the tired, poor huddled masses yearning to breathe free, old Amman is now abuzz with the emissions of a zillion cars and right in the muddle sits the Marriott - a fifteen floor oasis of calming muzak.
The muzak from the (empty) patio is 30dB (as measured on my dodgy phone app) on the 10th floor. Its not like everyone digs this chillout or jazz combo schmatz from six-thirty to eleven.
OK, so the room is clean, the bed smells nice, the bathroom is spotless, the cleaning staff are very smiley, the breakfast service is great - not slow, not over-bearing. The boiled eggs are deucedly hard to peel. The decor is khaleeji 1990 - which is what it was built for. I can live with that. Everything works..
But hotels are about people above all else. People. The staff are . . . lets just say that Jordan has had sixty years of relentless pressure and it shows. I guess what comes out of it is the pervasive sense of doom that hangs around Amman, a mothership city of survivors.. but that has come at a cost. Its not a place that gives you a sense of space. Its a kind of off-kilter economic miracle of its own division.
Marhaba!

Fantastic

It was a lovely hotel. Service was EXCELLENT. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. The room was good - very clean and comfortable beds and pillows. Quiet rooms. All requests were actioned promptly. We will be back.

Nice Hotel

I’d give this place a 3+. A loud, bustling place with a serviceable gym and other amenities. The front desk staff is pleasant but engineering was a bit brisk when we requested an adapter. Other hotel staff were friendly enough. A fine place to stay. Good value.
