Loved it
johnmc86on 20/11/2017 11:41Really enjoyed our stay here and in Londonderry, all the staff were fantastic. Very friendly people, helpful and great sense of humour. There was plenty to do outside and we found enjoyable things to do each day.
Warm reception and warmer accommodation!
Tom Hon 30/10/2017 18:17We came to enjoy the delights of Derry for Halloween on the recommendation of friends and colleagues. What we found was more than we expected - in terms of fun events in the city and the warm and wonderful stay with Amore. Joan was lovely to us throughout. She offered us a coffee and a respite from the autumnal morning as we arrived and was knowledgeable on all the events that were happening around the city that day. She offered great recommendations and was so enthusiastic, it was infectious!
The room was spacious and warm. Everything we needed was looked after. And, what a breakfast the next day! I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day - it had filled me up so much.
But, praise has to go to Joan for being warm, informative and providing us with enthusiasm about our travels ahead. We'd go back today if we could!
Thank you Joan! See you next year!
Exceptional host, delicious food, lovely room. 10/10
shakespeare2015on 30/10/2017 14:18I don't have anything negative to say about Amore! Joan is the most welcoming host and a wonderful cook - I had beautiful fluffy pancakes for breakfast after sleeping in a lovely, big, clean room with a comfy bed. Location is fantastic as it's quiet but right by the walls and the museums. 100% recommend it to others.
Perfect location
Jurassic_Tottyon 24/10/2017 01:59We stayed here for 3 nights primarily to see a concert at The Forum and for a sightseeing weekend.
Finding the entrance was a little confusing as our sat nav took us to a car park at the rear and a unused entrance but this was a minor issue.
The B& B is homely and welcoming. Our room was clean & comfortable with everything we needed for our stay & perfectly situated for The Forum, pubs, restaurants & the many attractions.
Joan was most helpful in recommending bars & eateries, many of which we followed up! We can recommend Spaghetti junction & Browns in town for eating and Tracy’s bar for the craic!
Breakfast was perfect, cooked & served by the lovely waitress ( sorry I’ve forgotten her name) and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely the place to stay if you’re looking for somewhere central and convenient.
Perfect!
Emanuela Von 25/08/2017 16:29We stayed at Amore B&B for 3 nights. Everything was perfect. Joan's been very welcoming and kind (lots of useful advice provided: attractions, restaurants ecc), the room was huge and clean, location was very convenient to Derry's main attractions (5 min walk from the Guildhall), in the heart of the Bogside. Don't miss Barry's delicious homemade pancakes!
