We stayed at ankur resort for 1 night. Buffet breakfast and dinner was good. Room was spacious, neat and clean. We had early morning safari but hotel didn't helped us for pickup from hotel which is usually given in other hotels. They were too busy with foreign clients.

On arrival we were taken straight to our room. We had to go back to reception later to check in as the two people behind the counter did not do the check ins - the person that does, wasn't there.
We had a room in the main building. First thing noticed was the odour of old cigarette smoke...
the bathroom had toiletries which were half emptied already and there is only one temperature of water. One evening I had very warm - no cold. Next morning, not cold, but not warm either. Then the following morning only very warm.
It was the room closest to reception so lucky enough to get wifi there - otherwise internet only works in reception.
Drinking water was given - huge bonus, but dishes from previous guests were still outside our room a few hours after our arrival.
This place is nice and has a lot of potential, but there are so many small details that let them down.
The restaurant, breakfast included, not once did we find a clean tablecloth at a table. First time we ate at 9.30 after coming back from a safari trip and only dregs were left - was even too scared to take the omelette seeing the colour it had turned to. The next morning arriving at 8, we arrived before the food....
The small pool is in the garden where the villas/cottages (rooms 200 and up are)
If there is a family or group of friends do not expect them to be quiet. In our 10 minutes there, the occupants of 2 nearby rooms came out to complain- and with the noise we didn't want to stay there longer either.
As seems to be the theme in Indian hotels who want to be classy, there is always a lot of potential, but the small details make this Hotel fall under the category of not really being worth the price paid.
Smiling Service, nothing else

The 2 stars are only for the staff & their smiling unhurried service. The restaurant service is quick & efficient although the menu is limited.
The room is musty & in need of urgent spring cleaning & fumigation. Little creatures have a run of the floor. The bathroom was very large & always wet. A large hole serves as the outlet & doesn't help any in drying it. The saving grace was that they provide a toilet roll! Their towels are ok too. The bed & quilts are comfortable. The AC & lights work well.
If staying here, you must carry your own toiletries & be unafraid of the jungle like atmosphere inside your room.
The reception area is welcoming with artificial tree trunks, a painted ceiling & several paintings. This hotel looks like it had once been a very nice place but now fallen on bad times. If you have no choice, a night or two there is alright. Sufficient parking space.
If you wish to book tickets to the National Park safari, the staff must be informed a day in advance although they did it for us overnight.
