Over night stopover

We arrived late at night and needed two rooms. The hotel reception was extremely helpful and quickly got us our rooms.
Next morning 15 August, a holiday in Italy, our car wouldn't start and the lady on reception called another hotel and someone quickly came and got it stated. The hotel is situated a couple of minutes from the motorway, easy to find, very clean. We will definitely visit again.
A great big Thank you to the hotel staff for all of their help and kindness.

Very nice little hotel. Was an old customs house and is built around a patio. Lift to the second floor if you feel not walking or have an heavy suitcase. Nice room and great experience in the restaurant: great Piedmont cuisine at a reasonable price. Extremely nice personnel.

Stayed here for 1 night in May 2016, lovely and friendly staff, room was clean but a little dated, could be modernised. Beautiful from the outside. Breakfast was good and on leaving they gave us a bottle of their own wine which was a lovely touch. We ate food down the road at an all you can eat buffet with every different type of cuisine possible, would definitely recomend eating here. Overall a nice stay.
Revisit after 16 years.

When dearly beloved booked this hotel for an overnight stay when on our way to Ferrara she did not realise what she had done. As we approached the hotel I said to her "do you know where we are going?" to which the answer was "No". 16 years ago we had stopped at the same hotel on our way back to the UK for Italy. The strange thing was, when we booked in, we were given the same room as that time! There has been a lot of renovation undertaken on the property but all tastefully done. The room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The en-suite bathroom is, again, large with an excellent shower. After a lazy afternoon sipping Prosecco and reading on the sun terrace, we went in for dinner in the hotel restaurant (not open every night so check when you book in), As we entered the bar area we were offered an aperitivo before going in to the dining room. We ordered from a good menu and Anne, who does not eat meat at all, had a Sea Bass prepared just for her - that is service. The remainder of the meal was well cooked and presented with good, unobtrusive, service. As normal, we had a half litre of the local wine, a Spumate - very good. I finished, as always when in Italy, with a good local Grappa but, when discussing with the bar man the various Grappas available around Asti I was offered an very good, top class Grappa whilst Anne was offered an Amaro. Breakfast is fairly standard but there is plenty of it. You make your own coffee although, if one of the hotel staff is around, they will make it for you. I had already spoken with the lovely lady owner of the hotel (a formidable lady) about when we stayed all those years ago and she was delighted that we had returned).but when we checked out we noticed that none of the drinks we had ordered appeared on the final bill. This was queried but the staff did not seem unduly bothered and we were even given a bottle of an excelled Barbera d'Asti to take away with us as a Thank you gift.
We returned two weeks later when we were driving home but this time the restaurant was closed so be warned, do check.
