I popped in for dinner , five since my last. It did not let me down. I love this place. This time it was winter the end of the Bianalli . The garden seating was closed but just as beautiful as ever. The dinner was tasty, simple, well portioned and not over fluffed.
My server took me on a tour of the few rooms and living area and explained the pictures on the walls were from broke guests that could not pay. Loved it. Have to go back get a room.

You would just pass by from the outside but behind the regular restaurant this place has a nice garden where you can quietly relax and enjoy a nice lunch or dinner. The service was somewhat "neutral" but the food itself was very decent. We had the raw fish, the pasta con vongole and tiramisu.

Though the atmosphere of the beautiful arbor garden in the back of the restaurant could rate this hidden treasure high... it is the food and efforts of the wait staff that determines my ultimate feelings. The food was pedestrian, lacking aesthetics or culinary appeal and the wait staff seems less than interested in accommodating Americans lack of ability to translate their menu. No plan to return or recommend... I guess everyplace you eat in Venice is not wonderful.

Fantastic garden restaurant, tucked away in a really quiet part of Venice. Very good, fresh, home cooked pasta and good desserts and coffee. Well priced for the location and atmosphere. Would definitely come again. Menu all in Italian, but the waiters speak perfect English if required.

The restaurant was recommended by our Hotel. The location is nice, the service tried to give its best but the Food is really below average. The bread was hard, the Starters boring. Only the main course, some fresh frilled fish was ok. The chef of the Restaurant commented on our critic that this is venetian style food.
