From this apart hotel you can go walking to San Leone along the beach, around a 1,5 km walk. It’s about 7’ by car from the Valley of Temples. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby (at about 2km). The breakfast is excellent. The kitchen stuff in the room is more than you need. Everything was perfect.

We arrived at this hotel and were so disgusted by it that we left even though we had paid upfront.
How on earth it achieved Four stars is beyond me.
The whole place is shambolic. Dirty, scruffy, in desperate need of a complete overhaul.
Scruffy, dated, dirty, cheap furnishings.
Even down to the finer details like toilet roll, they offer brown recycled crunchy paper,
No comforts for a holiday whatsoever.
The balcony fitted one person at a time and backed straight onto next doors balconey, so no security there and a sheer drop down with a low protection wall looking over a car park with badly in need of emptying rubbish bins.
Plastic tat everywhere for chairs for guests to sit on.
No dining restaurants at all and the area could not facilitate this either.
The so called beach was just awash with litter, old tyres and flies.

I do not have a good word to say about this place.
When we tried to speak to the owner who was not there when we arrived or left, he refused to even speak to us! We left it to BA to argue our refund which they kindly did. I just hope BA have the sense to remove this place from their list of recommended hotels and save their customers future embarrassment and total disappointment.

This is our second stay at this hotel, we had a two bedroom apartment with a huge balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The Hotel is basic, very clean, and all staff are very friendly and helpful. Would return in a heartbeat. Love this place..

Firstly the staff at this hotel are great. They really couldn't do more to help. They genuinely offer a 5 star service. Thank you.
It takes about 2.5 hrs to drive from Catania airport to reach the hotel. So this gives an idea of how long it takes to travel around. it takes 15 minutes to reach valley of temples by car.
The hotel unfortunately clearly isn't 4 star. the showers are small with useless shower curtains and there is no restaurant in the hotel. The air conditioning worked well but was rather noisy however it did drown out the noise from across the road. The air con is linked to the room key so if you go out then the air con turns off.
Breakfast is not bad but fresh juice and fruit would have been nice. There is a pizza bar across the road that opens about 1930 hrs each night. This is very noisy on Friday and Saturdays with Karaoke and music until the small hours, also local youths on mopeds make a racket!. The food is good value and tasty though should you wish to eat there.
Situated where the hotel is, this hotel desperately needs a restaurant because otherwise you have to drive to get food during the day, There is a small cooker and fridge in the room so an option is to buy in food and cook it yourself.
The swimming pool is really nice and kept very clean, again I just wished there was somewhere to eat at the hotel for lunch.
on our last night all the toilets stopped flushing in the 3 rooms we had! we had to report the problem as we left!
The area around the hotel is not very attractive and there is rubbish everywhere again this is not the hotels fault.There is a good beach but you really need transport to reach the area where there are bars etc.. Taxis are scarce and very expensive apparently.
Overall the hotel was nice and the staff are great especially the young lady at the reception. She was so helpful during our stay.
Overall I would recommend the hotel if visiting the area but it just needs a quality restaurant due to its location and you must have a car.

Claudia just confirmed our usual room at the 4th floor with two balconies and kitchenette for our second stay this summer. Can´t wait to go back: the view, the quietness, the birds and not least: Claudias warm reception...
