A nice and charming hotel be carefull with the room you get
Carlos Ron 02/07/2017 15:59The Hotel in general is very nice and quiet it is a Boutique hotel and unfortunately the rooms are all different they go from a hole in the wall with no windows, which we got and were about to leave the hotel, we complained to the front desk and they changed us to a much better room, after this incident we enjoyed our stay very much. Employees very cordial and food was good. has a nice swimming pool.
A boutique hotel bargain
Carlos Hon 21/03/2017 23:25Atlixco is a lovely city, and you would be hard pressed to find a better hotel at this price anywhere. We stayed in Room 12, which has French doors opening to the pool area. The room was immaculately clean and the beds comfortable. Location couldn't be better: perhaps 50' from the Zocalo. Noise was not a problem because you must pass through two patios before getting to the pool area. (Bonus: perhaps two doors toward the zocalo is La Casa de Don Porfirio, an excellent restaurant. Try the chicken in pipian or the mole. You won't be disappointed.) Complimentary breakfast was served in the beautiful first patio.
Wish we could have stayed longer!
NedGrimleyon 19/11/2016 03:18Was only able to spend one night but absolutely loved the accommodations. The hotel is located less than a half block from the main plaza on Nicolas Bravo. Very close to restaurants and shopping and the beautiful flowers of the zocalo.
Our room was on the second floor with a small window over looking a small courtyard. Out our front door was the main courtyard of the hotel where breakfast is provided each morning.
The feel and charm of the property made us feel like we were truly in old Mexico. Not that anything in the room was dated, as they were not. There was just a very colonial and comfortable feel to the room and the property as a whole.
As has been noted, they provide valet parking right in front of the hotel, but be sure to provide them 15 minutes advance notice before you want your car.
We only had enough time to eat some of the fresh fruit and yogurt for breakfast, though they provide a full breakfast for guests. The fruit was fabulous and well presented in the courtyard on the main level.
Check in was quick and easy and everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Getting to understand how the locks on the door took a couple of tries, but it wasn't that difficult.
Step out onto the street and you are in the middle of Atlixco. The church is a block away and very ornate for a smaller town. The government palace has a new mural that has been in progress for a while and is not yet complete, but has a very different feel than many in Mexican towns. More modern and reflecting the specific history and activities of Atlixco.
Plenty of shopping and the municipal market are within walking distance from the hotel as well as plenty of restaurants and options for food, snacks and drinks.
I wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely come back in the future.
Dia de la Independencia/Fiestas Patrias
auntyandeon 17/09/2016 03:37What a lovely hotel right by the Zocalo at the heart of Atlixco, with restaurants and cafes just a stone's throw away.
It's an old building - but beautifully maintained and decorated . The room we stayed in had everything you could need and was very comfortable.
Breakfast was included and was fine.
The reception staff were really nice.
All in all, we would definitely stay there again and would recommend it.
Amazing experience with beautiful stay
Arvindashon 20/05/2016 22:22I loved this hotel due to its location and hospitality. The rooms are huge with amazing bathroom.
The beds are comfortable and the breakfast buffet is very good. They include a very good collection in their breakfast menu. This hotel also has a small pool to spend time with kids in the same.
Overall a very nice experience and the staff are very warm and friendly.
