What People are saying

Just average

The hotel was fine in almost every respect. There was very little outstanding as either really good or really bad.

A positive was the hotels proximity to the town. It was really easy to walk down into the Main Street of Olympia. It was also very close to the archeological site.

A challenge was that Wi-Fi was only accessible in the main lobby. The walls were also pretty thin.

It was perfectly fine, clean and respectable enough.

Reasonable stay for a stopover

The Antonios Hotel was included accommodation in Olympia and suitable for the overnight stay on my Greece tour. It was showing signs of wear and needed some cosmetic improvements.

Pros

- had a restaurant/bar
- free WiFi (but only in the lobby)
- lift
- lounge area
- balcony

The room had:

- TV
- tea/coffee making facilities
- bar fridge
- plenty of storage space
- telephone
- basic toiletries provided
- air conditioning
- comfortable bed

Cons

- needs cosmetic improvements (carpets, balcony)
- room safe was dodgy (not screwed down. Could be easily carried off)

Suitable for a short visit to Olympia

SO not a 4 star hotel!!

We were part of a bus tour and this was the hotel we stayed at. Would never ever stay here on our own. The hallways have threadbare carpet completely covered in stains. The rooms have extremely terrible lighting to the point that I had to get out my travel flashlight to see in the bathroom. There is not one piece of furniture in the room that is not stained - the chairs, the bedclothes, the throw rug, even the marble floor has goss brown stains at the doorway to the bathroom. The bed is an old spring mattress on a wood slat base and was so uncomfortable that I could not lie on the bed for longer than 30 minues without being in pain. To top it off, the bottom sheet didn't fit the bed (basically the bed was short sheeted) and I had to get up several times in the night to pull the sheet back down. Wifi is only available in the lobby and the TV is one of those old fat ones with the tiny screen and a remote that didn't work at all. Just as well as ther reception was terrible and there were only a couple of channels anyways. Finally, we are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and were relegated to 2 separate twin beds!! This is without doubt one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in and would give it less than a 1 star if I could.

We could not get out of our room fast enough!

What a dreadful hotel! The rooms allocated to our "5 star" tour group were ghastly & I would never recommend anyone to stay here. Beds were uncomfortable, towels were thin, wifi useless. A traveller doesn't ask for much and here, well you don't get much!

A Night's Stopover At Most.

Lousy Wi-Fi connection in the lobby and no connection in the rooms. Hotel shows it’s age in rooms, bed is hard with springs in the mattress digging into the back. Our group was made to wait for set dinner even though our designated tables were ready. Breakfast wasn't ready by 8:00 a.m.
On the flip side a lady in the reception was very helpful. I needed to print a boarding pass and due to their bad Wi-Fi connection couldn’t send it to their email account from my device. So she allowed me to use their desktop (which is actually payable by hour) and gave me a print out. When I offered to pay, she smiled and shook her head. Greek hospitality is truly great!
