By the time I booked a room, there were hardly any left in Akita. APA is in dispute with much of the Chinese nation, so it was my hope that this hotel would not be full. It wasn't, lucky me.
Not a great location. A good 20-25 minute walk from the station and airport bus stop. One convenience store around the corner. Hard to find any restaurants around.
Decent, clean standard room. No complaints, nothing outstanding. Staff were polite. Keydrop checkout so I only really saw them when I got there.

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel, it is relatively clean and tidy. Rooms are extremely small and you struggle to fit a suitcase in the room, but it's in Japan, so we expected that. The worst thing is the room temperature, you might like to be warm, but the Japanese love to be hot. And even though this hotel has individual air conditioning in each room, they keep the control panel in your room locked under central management control and they don't let you venture more than a degree or two either side of a preset limit. So the coolest we could go was the equivalent of a hot summers day in the south of Spain... they even have a notice at reception saying that "you can't change the room temperature, so it you don't like it don't check in"!! I stayed in two other hotels in Japan with this brand over the course of two weeks. This is my only issue with this chain of hotels but unfortunately it would stop me from staying here again.
