Our travel agent booked an apartment at Plaza Turisticos on Placeta Del Pulgar 1 in Granada. The building is managed by Hotel Neuva.
When we arrived the hotel tried to switch us to Plaza Peregrin. The "better" apartment was unclean - no elevator, no central heat, no shower, broken furniture,and all the lights went out when we turned on the stove. We refused the move.
After 4 hours of wrangling we got an apartment at Plaza Turisticos but NOT the one we booked. Our apartment was small with torn furniture, broken drawers, ragged blankets and no cooking utensils.
The apartment we were sent pictures of was down the hall from us. The day after our arrival the hotel staff was in there cleaning and moving in extra beds. They had rented it to a larger family. The hotel admitted they had double booked the room. We received no compensation.

The apartments are run by the Hotel Plaza Nueva. It does not get more central than that, BUT: get rid of your car first (for example, the garage at San Augustin), then walk to the hotel, check in and, if they have garage space, move your car (into the blocked-off pedestrian zone). Once that is done, there is no looking back; we were a family of four, made no use of the kitchen corner, since we could have it all about 500 feet away in fresh air. We stayed several days in Granada, never touched our car (walked, took mini buses, taxis - just wonderful).
As for the dust (someone complained about it), I have no recollection of it, but i should add that the only time we spent in the apartment was to sleep there; all our other activities were on the town.
