Spacious and family friendly

The service at this place was really good. The room was spacious and a short driving distance from the 'old town' centre ... also could be a nice walk. The room itself was quite stuffy and hot and while we did open the windows, the noise outside meant we had to promptly close them. I am sure if I had have notified reception we could have rectified this so I don't want to leave a poor rating however need to note it was a factor in a lower rating.
Suitable for young small budget traveller

Very good location, few minutes walk to the old city and lake, and 2 minutes walk to the train station. The staff (front desk, reception staff) very friendly and helpful.
The apartment we have got should accommodate 4 people, but even for 3 guests it is too small, and the closet/cupboard was sufficient for 1-2 people. The laminate "parquet" was terrible, broken and peeled in many parts of the apartment.
In summary it felt like an upgraded hostel
Not for us

We spent 4 nights at this hotel at the end of August, we chose the hotel as it had some good reviews and had a 4 star rating however there were a couple of things we did not like and these impinged on our enjoyment of the hotel.
Firstly the positives- it was well situated about a 10 min walk from the old part of town, the reception staff were friendly and approachable, the sofa bed in our room was very comfortable and we slept well, we overlooked a courtyard which meant we got no road/ rail noise.
On arrival our room was clean and towels - hand and bath were provided as well as a bath mat. Soap and shower gel were provided as well- but no shampoo, sewing kit, shower caps etc- although when a sewing kit was required reception provided us with one.
The kitchenette was clean- washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, sponge , dishcloth and tea towel were there and were brand new- there were enough plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses and mugs for 2 people which were clean. Tea/coffee and sugar were provided on arrival approx enough for 2 cups each.
Reception was modern and clean. We didn't use but a sauna and gym were offered there as well.
Now for the negatives-
Initially we found the hotel difficult to find, we arrived by bus in the evening from Geneva airport and for future reference it is by Novotel which is clearly visible.
There are no dining facilities or bar for evening use although there are lots a couple of minutes walk away so not really a problem.
The door after 7pm is opened using a code, this changes every Friday but no one thought to mention that.
The furnishings in the room were dark and well worn, (apart from the kitchen ) and there was a smell of old cigarettes each time you went into the room.
The bathroom was my major issue, the bath had a shower over, its plug hole was very slow to drain water away and the sealant around the bath taps was black with mould. The bathroom door was the biggest problem - the handles were a sizeable hole and additional holes were also cut further up, there was no bathroom window so the light had to be used each time you used the bathroom- at night this illuminated the room and from the bed you could see into the bathroom
Our room was not cleaned at all whilst there, however clean towels were issued on request from reception. Tea/coffee etc was also not replenished.
For this reason alone i would not stay at this hotel again- i feel it was not of 4 star quality, at best 3 ?
Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay

We (myself, my wife and our 15 year old son) stayed for 4 nights at the apart hotel. The room was a reasonable size and had a wicker screen which you could pull across to divide the room at night.
The room had plenty of storage, a small kitchenette, a small outside balcony. The bathroom was very good having a separate bath and shower cubicle
The aircon was also very good,
The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the underground carpark was great.
TIP - When you pull up to the car park barrier it always has a note saying it is full, this is not the case, you need to book a space at the reception first and they will take payment for however many days you need and give you a 4 digit pin code to enter and exit
The only slightly negative was that the beds in the room were a little firm and there was a slight odour of the room previously being smoked in
The hotel also had a small gym and sauna which was useful
Overall very pleased with the room
An aparthotel that is well-serviced, clean, efficient and friendly in a great location.

My wife and I stayed at The Adagio for six nights and found it to be an excellent base to explore Annecy and the surrounding area. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.
It is important to recognize that this is an aparthotel. It therefore has none of the comprehensive catering facilities of a full hotel such as a bar, restaurant, or room service nor any porterage service.. For us this did not matter as the rooms had a full range of cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery and had a refrigerator, freezer, microwave oven/grille together with a two ring hot plate. Just across the road from the hotel was a small shopping mall with a large Monoprix supermarket with a vast array of food and drink at low prices if you wished to adopt a self-catering approach.
However The Adagio does offer an adequate breakfast service from 07:00 to 10:00 with a good selection of fruits and juices together with hot and cold meats, cereals, bread and pastries..The self service area is rather small which can be a problem if a number of guests come down to breakfast simultaneously especially if they choose to squeeze their own fruit juice. The hot drink dispenser can only cater for one person at a time. The self-service egg boiler is cute but only if you have plenty of time to spare in the morning and if you can keep track of your egg.
As an aparthotel it is best if you clarify the cleaning arrangements for your room before you check in.
The major benefit of this hotel is its location! It is very close to Annecy train station and a ten minute walk into the old town with its dozens of restaurants, cafes, creperies, bars and shops. If the weather is inclement then directly opposite the hotel is the Novotel which has the usual full hotel facilities..
We had a split level apartment on the top floor with a bedroom, bathroom, separate shower and two toilets. It had a separate seating and dining area. For such a large apartment the rooms could have had some more shelving space. Our apartment had a balcony with excellent mountain views across the town. It had very efficient air conditioning with no noise from outside the apartment..
The lift service in the hotel was quick and efficient.
The hotel does not have a swimming pool but it does have a small and well equipped mini-gym.
Reception and breakfast staff were helpful, friendly and efficient with a good grasp of English. Andrew and Sebastien were particularly helpful with sorting out some particular problems that we had. All public areas were always kept clean and tidy.
Our room was quiet. The bathroom seemed to have an endless supply of very hot water. Our apartment a two TVs but as usual the only English language TV channels were the news channels. .
