We spent one week at this apartments, arrived about 8pm on Saturday, the check in process very quick, the receptionist gave us a welcome pack with information about the area, restaurants etc. She accompanied to the apartment and helped with one of the cases as I am recovering from an ankle fracture and needed help.
First impression the apartment is huge located, a spacious bedroom with a massive wardrobe, and excellent bathroom with a proper window and a cavernous kitchen/diner with a sitting area with flat screen TV, opening to a large terrace with direct access to the pool, to my partner delight who swims every day.
In the morning we realised the bedroom had a see view, the whole apartment bright and airy ( apt. 120 ) located at the corner, we had loads of space outside.
The kitchen area has a two ring cooking facility a good size fridge freezer, pots and pans,good quality dinnerware and even a bottle opener. We were able to have breakfast and sometimes lunch on our very private terrace.
El Cerrito are located on a road parallel to the main road, about 5 minutes there are restaurants, a bus stop, supermarkets.
The area is lovely with everything you may desire, some people bemoan this the cloudy part of La Palma, but the proximity to Santa Crux is a major plus also about 7 minutes drive from the airport costing 8 Euros.
Had a lovely, hired a car to get around, this was our third visit to La Palma and won’t be the last.

Like the title says; the quality you get is well balanced with the price you pay. Decent clean rooms and friendly staff. Location is fine, within walking distance there are many restaurants to visit. Only feedback I would give is that the bathroom had a bit of a chemical smell, but other than that is was a really nice stay.

We booked to stay here for a week and got a ridiculously cheap deal and we're sceptical as to what we would find when we arrived! It turned out to be such an easy place to stay-a 10 minute 10 euro taxi journey from the airport!
The rooms
There is 3 of us staying and the apartment is probably the biggest we've ever stayed in and very clean. It is so nice to come back each day with pristine bathroom and kitchen and all our beds turned down-not something we had expected with self catering!
The kitchen is adequate although there is no oven so no big meals can be prepared but it is more than enough to do lunches or a light dinner.
We have a sea view from the bedroom and you can also sit outside the apartment on one of the many chairs and tables which can be used, seperate from your private terrace!
The Pool
We couldn't believe that that the pool had no one around it for most of the week it was just us!! So no fighting for sun loungers like most hotels! The only downside is that the pool is absolutely freezing-so cold!! It doesn't get the sun until around 11am so That is the only downside.
The location
The location is maybe the only real downside. The fact that it is near the airport is such a bonus and the beach and supermarket only minutes walk always is amazing. However since we have been hear numerous locals have told us this is known as the cloudy side and we have noticed this-it always seems to be cloudy!!!
Overall an amazing value apartment. I would definitely consider returning if los cancajos had better weather and if it was a bit more geared up for tourists!

Stayed here for 3 nights. I was able to check in to my apartment straight away despite arriving at 11am.
As previously stated, the apartments are very spacious, clean, and airy. I was in 118, ground floor overlooking the pool.
The reception staff were informative and friendly enough, answering any queries I had.
Location is good, just a few minute walk up a gentle hill from the sea, and a well stocked supermarket, and bus stop, and about 5 mins to bars, restaurants, beaches, and the small resort centre.
I didn't use any cooking equipment but it looked clean and useable. Sofas and bed both comfy. Only things to note are there is no kettle, just a coffee pot, and only 1 or 2 English language TV channels (although I watched FA cup semis in Spanish).
Pool was a little cold, but lovely relaxing area. I would have concerns about coming here in the summer, as there are only about 10 sun beds, and the fact you have to pay for air conditioning.
But this stay in April has been perfect. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

We chose the apartment for a short 3 night stay as it is close to the airport and after an early morning flight we did not wish to drive too far. We had a very spacious apartment with a large balcony and sea views. It's close to restaurants and shops and there is an attractive walk along the rocky coast. The kitchen appliances could do with updating and the pillows are a bit spartan but otherwise we would recommend this place.
