A little surprised

The hotel is in a great position and central to everything. We had a king hotel room and it was nicely equipped. My one disappointment is that on returning after a day out the room had not been made up or serviced. Of course I rang reception and apparently the rooms are only serviced on the third day if you are staying for five days.
I have never come across this before in a hotel so if this is ok for you then it's a great place to stay. If like me you are used to the room being serviced and towels and bath mats changed then this may leave you a little disappointed considering the price you pay.
Excellent location

Very central location, which was excellent. Shops, bars, Cafe’s and restaurants all on your doorstep. Approx 5 minute walk to the beach. The rooms are fairly basic but have all the amenities you need. During our stay the lift was out and we had to walk up two flights of stairs every time, which would not be great for anyone that struggles with stairs or mobility, you may need to request a room in the ground floor.
The most PERFECT ABODE FOR SHORT OR LONG BREAK

We arrived on a six day holiday with immediate family so the two bedroom apartment was a perfect choice. But first the praise. Having fought a tailwind from Sydney our arrival was well earlier than check-in, so the genial lady manning reception smiled and offered us the poolside relaxing divans to wait the hour out. When we commented on the enticing aromas, she suggested we pop next door to the pizza restaurant which we did and had an alfresco feed by the pool.
Our apartment was huge, replete with a full kitchen, two bathrooms, one en-suite and two excellent sized balconies. Each room has individual air-con and the open windows provided daily flow of any breeze around. Furnishing is pleasant with plenty of divans, and a dining setting that could seat a battalion. Kitchen was perfect, the only thing missing was a Nespresso coffee machine, but that said what an opportunity to duck downstairs ( lift) and make a choice from 12 outlets, all of them excellent pervayers of delectabls and superb coffee. The balconies over looked the pool and the street and considering our stay was on a Long Weekend, School Holidays and Footy Grand Finals, the hermetically sealed doors and windows kept any bugs and noise from boisterous celebrants and rebel rousers to a comfortable silence. The only thing one notices is the slamming of doors throughout the complex.
Loved the cool tiled floor perfect when walking bare footed is de riguer. Towel service delivers as many towels as we required and the cleaners actually work their magic under the beds and move furniture around. In a word its a perfect beach apartment, even though the main beach is three minutes walk, with a reservoir of tempting eateries along the way. Speaking of beaches, the one we loved was Watego Beach surrounded by Yucta trees and Banyans and the whitest sand compacted for comfort and laying towels on. We walked, hiked, surfed, kayaked and took a small schooner out for a day to explore the coastline. Everyone looks relaxed in the fashion that MEXICO DOES BEST.
Very Enjoyable

Staff were extremely helpful and organised. Had rung ahead of check in as we had to attend a function before checkin time. Room was available & ready when we walked in the door. Parking was fantastic.
Disappointed -Description didn't match expectations.

Stayed in the Byron Bay Hotel & Apartments on our drive from Sydney to Noosa. On the journey up we stayed in Motor Inns-very reasonably priced-a bit on the old side but extremely functional with well equipped, large rooms.
Decided to treat ourselves in Byron as we were excited to see the sights & hotspots.
We were traveling with our 7 month old baby and under the impression from the online description that the Byron Bay Hotel & Apartments were large equipped rooms.
Brilliant location-central to everything-however the King Room was unfortunately extremely small-had only a kettle-no microwave for sterilizing bottles.
We were only booked in for one night..it turned out to be a noisy night-due to the mechanisms of the closing of doors-plus we were put into an adjoining room that shared an entrance door-basically sounded like doors constantly slamming.
Unfortunately-I got food poisoning from a nearby establishment-Hotel front desk staff understanding the following morning & facilitated a late check out-very grateful.
Disappointed room expectations were not met-description of King room did live up to expectations.
