Love love love my apartment
Lynda Son 14/04/2017 10:16As I sit here in apartment 2 using the fantastic wifi I reflect on just how much I love this place. It's quant, clean and quirky.. I enjoyed a gliass of wine in my garden courtyard as the washing machine sorted our clothes. There is a bath! Good sized kitchen and nice clean bedrooms. My son is watching tv in the lounge and we are planning which restaurant to go for dinner.. all within a ten minute walk! I highly recommend this apartment.
Great location
lesnikoon 27/12/2016 11:17Great location and fantastic staff unfortunately that is where it ends!!
We were given apartment 5 which is as I understand it the same price as every other apartment. The TV remote had flat batteries ( I know first world problem! Bit annoying!!!)
The board under the cushions on the couch does nothing to hide the fact that the cushions are well and truly past their used by date!
The lounge carpet is stained and also has holes in it. In the kitchen the taps fall off their fixtures. In the bathroom the shelf is falling off the wall and the shower is best described as a dripping tap. Paint is peeling of the ceiling in the bathroom.
Overall apartment 5 is very tired, run down, so when booking make a point of asking which apartment you get and if offered no 5 ask if it has been updated / renovated or refuse it at the full price.
As I said the staff are great and understand the short comings of apartment 5, hopefully the owners will do something about it as it it as it is really well located.
Apartments on George.
jenny9355on 23/10/2016 22:55Have been disappointed with our stay at Apartments on George. Found our apartment (no. 4) to be very dated, with a very noisy fridge and air conditioner. A very average cramped kitchen. Bathroom old and terrible shower. It was also not very clean!!! Quality of mattresses were poor and furnishings old and uncomfortable. On the up side, location was good.😊

EllaHenryon 21/01/2016 23:54We booked 3 of the apartments for a week in January. We were all truly disappointed at the state of the apartments. For example, the lock on the bathroom was a door wedge, and your feet would become blackened by simply walking barefoot in the apartment. The rooms were absolutely disgusting to sleep in as there was only air conditioning in the lounge room, and the ceiling fans did very little other than make loud noises - not ideal in the Adelaide summer. However the location was good and we did enjoy using the BBQ and outdoor seating on one of the evenings.
Hot, Dirty, In Need of a Make Over
Kelvin Ron 20/01/2016 05:08These apartments are in a great location, just outside of the Adelaide CBD and a short walk from the Parade in Norwood. They also are set up with a double bed and two twin beds in the 2nd room. There is also a nice courtyard area with a BBQ. Sadly, the goodness ends there.
Check in and key collection is 2km away at another hotel. The rooms are not serviced daily (no problems with that) but you only get enough amenities left for one, perhaps 2 nights at the most. The wi-fi is free but slow, the air conditioning is only in the lounge and turns off when you remove the key to leave, the bedrooms are baking hot. Apartment 5 has no lock on the bathroom door (which looks original, perhaps early 80's) instead it has a door stop to wedge under the door. There are lots of signs with rules, like taking out your rubbish and washing and putting away your dishes or you will be charged an extra $50. The apartment was filthy, if you walked around in your socks or bare feet you would turn your socks or feet black, even from the walk from the bathroom to the bedroom. Our fridge had no shelves in the door and two broken shelves, making it not that useful. Has potential to be a great place to stay but in need of a good clean, better airconditioning and less penny pinching by the owners.
