As veterans of at least twenty-four Greek Islands I can truly say that at the Aphrodite Beach Hotel we have never come across such kind and professional staff. Away from busy Mykonos Town, Kalafati Beach is a haven for a relaxing lifestyle and water sports. At the end of May we had a 25m pool to ourselves for most of the time. But in the season there seems to be plenty of provision for those who enjoy jet skiing and sailboarding.
The hotel rooms are simply Greece, but we had panoramic views of the bay and our bedding was changed frequently. I think our towels were replaced just about every other day.
Mykonos is not a cheap island but we have had the finest food than on any other island.
The hotel arranged a wonderful and interesting trip to historic Delos with a pickup from the door. However to enjoy the rest of Mykonos I would strongly advise the use of a small car.
We wish all the new staff and management at the Aphrodite Beach Hotel every success in the future—they deserve it.

I had been in this hotel some years ago and the experience wasn't great. Since then, however, some friends told me that the management changed and that they were going to stay for a night. So I decided to give it one more chance when my husband and I were in town for a visit. I'm very thankful we did because the experience was amazing. A world apart from my previous stay. The staff was very friendly, helpful and always had a smile. The breakfast was good, and the room was very clean with an amazing sea view. The location is still great, the reason we liked it in the beginning, as you can find some peace. And it is just 1 minute from the beach!
We also liked very much the swimming pool and the restaurant, which we did not bother with last time. Last, but very important for us, there was free wifi everywhere and was working great!! All in all, I have to say, what a recovery!

Located right in front of the Kalafatis beach - excellent location, food and ambience. Try out their fried calamari and pork sovalaki. Just out of the world.Too far away from the city center. Very uncomfortable beds.

Aphrodite is an aging property away from the hubbub of mainstream Mikonos. It's not the exquisite luxury of Santorini, but it is charming and the people are accommodating. Go with a fair and realistic expectation regarding location and you will be pleased. The restaurant is entirely lovely.

What the website of this hotel shows and what it really is are two very different things. Rooms are outdated, bathroom sink paint is cracking throughout, the toilet bowl was falling over. Don't stay here. If your looking for fun and being close to everything-stay in Mykonos town. This place is on the other side of the island.
