Stayed 8th and 9th November. We used this as our base when we were supporting a sick relative in the local Hospital. This is a nice spacious hotel. The staff were really lovely and so helpful with local info. The room was very comfortable and quiet, the beds were wonderfully spacious and luxurious. My husband used to gym and pool, he said they were a welcome distraction between hospital visits. We had an evening meal there the first night as we were too tired to go into town. A small menu, but very tasty, I recommend the fish with veg and side order of mash, my husband was pleased about the Mahou beer on sale. Just what I needed after a stressful day. The breakfast was lovely, a wide selection of food, kept us going all day. Lots of business people there, they were well behaved, so a peaceful stay. The bar was nice and spacious, I recognised it from the TV series Green wing. In all a great hotel.

I booked 2 nights with evening meal and breakfast for 2 , with use of the facilities for £130 , I got also £20 of that back on Topcashback. Taking into account the ridiculous price I was happy with what I got. The evening meal was pretty good considering , I have had better breakfasts it was a buffet my expectations were low. All things considered for £110 for 2 nights I would definitely come back.

Ok for business not sure it is nice enough for a weekend away. Staff helpful and service good. Big problem is the rubbish breakfast, bacon packed together in oven so anemic and stuck together, sausages barely browned, need I go on? Should really be so much better for the money charged

Myself and my partner stayed here as we attended the Anvil locally to watch Jimmy Carr. Thankfully we only stayed one night and the majority of our time was thankfully spent away from the place. I paid £139 for a night and what I got for my money fell short and it certainly didn't fall into the category of a 4* Hotel. The room was very basic and in our bathroom there was an amount of pubic hair on the floor and the sink plug was completely bust! Complaining about the following was accepted but wouldn't of been looked at until late which is when we were back in our room. As it was just the one night we left the complaint. We would not return to the place even if the price was dropped.....

Hotel is fine and average level for business and hotel staff really supportive at all times. Locker didn´t work in my room and having a fridge might be useful as well. I missed more fresh fruit at breakfast but coffee was good!
