We spent a week in an apartment with city views! The sun did not reach the balcony at any time of the day, so the apartment was very shady and quite cold, luckily we did not spend very much time in the apartment. I am very disappointed with the attitude of the hotel, I left my reading glasses in the hotel lobby which they located, but would not post them to me and said that they would instruct a delivery company to send them, the cost of this is over 57 euro's, so I have told them to keep the glasses. I would have thought that in the interest of good will and customer relations they would post them to me, even if the postage was to be collected in England. They were is a light pouch and would weigh very little.
The hotel is about a 15 mins walk into Lagos, down very steep hill, but you can easily get a taxi for 5 euro's or a number 4 bus from the bus station to get you back up the hill. Because of the unhelpful attitude and pettiness we will not be staying again.

I was so disappointed by the Aqualuz as we were excited to stay there. the staff were rude, we went down at 8.30am one morning to the pool to be turned away and told it would be strictly closed until 10.30am. At 9.20am I walked out onto my balcony to see the pool full and therefore I could not get a sunbed at that point. There are also large portions of the pool areas that become shaded quite quickly and again when we tried to move our sun loungers to another area we were again met with animosity and told to put them back when we were done. It felt like we were back in school, being reprimanded by teachers! From then on we spent our days at the lovely beaches. In short if you are planning on sun bathing don't stay here. Guests were also sent an appalling letter, attached. It didn't make much sense and was grammatically incorrect. For the price we paid for this hotel, the standards were unacceptable and most of the staff were incredibly rude.

This Hotel/Resort is in a great location to Lagos's old town and a 15 minute walk to the beach and the start of the cliff walk. Staff were very friendly,helpful and knowledgeable. Great looking pool and breakfast. A big bonus was the laundry on site.

Having been lucky to visit Lagos a few times, we chose the Aqualuz on previous experiences. We were not dis-appointed, the hotel is very welcoming and willing to help you enjoy your holiday in any way they can. October, however is a quiet time to visit as the hot/sunny weather is not the norm (26c all week when we visited).
The rooms are spacious and very well kept, maids visit daily and are 'attention to detail' extra towels, never a problem. Although, as others have said, the rooms are a little dated, I believe the hotel is currently updating, as the new block has now been completed.
The food on offer at breakfast and in the evenings are varied, fresh and plentiful, regularly replenished and tasty. Food and drink is good value.
The pool area is vast and more than enough sun-beds, the garden areas are well maintained, they also have a good size children's pool.
The 'Kids club' was not open when we visited due to time of the year but we can recommend it based on a previous visit - also has an indoor playroom and small arcade room.
Lagos itself, is a short 15 mins walk away and is a 'foodies' paradise with quirky and diverse restaurants everywhere, lovely beaches and friendly people.
Finally, its the staff that make the Aqualuz! All very friendly and helpful. We would especially like to thank Paulo (Bar/Restaurant) who looked after us well and helped to keep the children entertained with his puzzles and drawings!

We stayed here for a week when we arrived we got room 4th floor nice enough but
The noise from seagulls in the morning was awful
Had a chat with reception got upgraded to premium room for 15 Euro a night extra well worth it
Really enjoyed our stay
