OK stop over for reasonable price

This hotel seems to be run with very limited personnel, and may be expecting some bigger upgrading and renovation. Expect a decent lodging at a convenient location, no extras. Lacks a bit of TLC - bed side tables would have been nice, as well as a shower room door that closes. Bed linen and towels were not in top shape either.

Just not good enough

The hotel was clean but old and no sign of making any effort to modernize.

There was only 1 electricity plug in the whole room, and not even in a convinient place. No nighttable next to the bed. So i had to lay down my glasses in the floor.

There was also an old smell in the room.

The plus side was the breakfast, there was a variety of products.

It was only a 5min walk from train station,just over 1hr from Brussels after Eurostar. The hotel was old BUT was extremely clean,tidy & bright. Basic but value for money.Food was fresh & plenty full. Room was huge with table/chairs. I recommend it to ur NOT so fussy type of travellers. Great location for weekend away..!!!

Just to let you know that i was very unhappy with Aquilon hotel, i had asked from king size bed i ve got two twin beds, there was no plug to charge our i phones, the room was very old and you could hear what was happening next door. The free Wifi was only working at the reception area. The picture that was shown on their web site is just the room no 16 and all the other rooms had nothing to do with the picture shown and also the room was so small that you could barely move! As i have told this to the owner he was so rude he told me that i should walk outside and not in the room! The only good think was the breakfast buffet, i had booked for 2 days but i left after one night. I wouldn t recommend this hotel to anybody there are other very nice hotels maybe a little bite more expensive but at least cleaner and friendlier then this place. I wonder how he has gotten his two star! Thank you for taking my email into consideration and hope you wont suggest this hotel to anybody else.

wonderful hotel in a wonderful place

there are thousand words to say about the hotel, but none of them will guarantee the right impression of that cosy non-typical hotel with friendly atmosphere, and wonderful location to all sightseeings of the place. anyway I'll try.
1. location: seems it is the very center of the town: it 5-8 min walk to everything: sea, station, shopping center, entertainment etc.
2. the hotel: beautiful building with non-typical for hotels decorations that makes it look more home-like. quite big rooms with interesting antique design, even towels there are not purely white but colorful!!
3. food: really various food. nice breakfast to start the day.
4. atmosphere: warm and cosy, friendly staff.

the last thing I'd like to mention that the nice beautiful hotel lacks luxury of expensive posh giants. for those people who got used to radisson, holiday inn and similar hotel it is better to find something different not to be disappointed.
