We stayed two nights in a family room which was to the back of the hotel, facing the road and railway. That said we heard neither during the night. The hotel is in a wonderful location on the edge of the lake. The room was comfortable and for a family room you get two separate rooms and a bathroom which gave our daughter an element of privacy. The service was good and the staff pleasant. To be recommended.

Our room overlooked the lake where we went for a lovely swim. Funnily enough we seemed to be the only ones who did: everyone else preferred the swimming pool. The room was nicely decorated but not very spacious.
The restaurant was a real treat. We had the set lake fish menu and plenty of excellent local wines. Our table was right on the edge of the water, very peaceful and romantic. The service was friendly and efficient.
We would definitely go back.

We had a lovely couple of days at the Hotel Araba Fenice. We arrived by train and used the tiny Pilzone station, which is a five minute walk. The walk into Iseo is further, but an easy 20 minutes or so. Iseo is a lovely lake-front town with restaurants, shops and ferry connections to Mt. Isola and other points of interest.
We reserved a lake-view room with a small balcony and enjoyed every minute we sat outside admiring the beautiful scenery. Our room was compact, but had everything we needed including a minibar and bedside outlets for our phones.
The buffet breakfast, included in the room rate, was served in the adjoining Bella Iseo restaurant. There was a very nice selection of food and you had your choice of inside or terrace dining. Out of convenience, we also dined two nights at the restaurant. One night we ordered a set menu and the other a la carte. Both meals were good, not great, but good.
The staff members were all lovely and helpful, would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to others. Must stay in a lake-view room … so beautiful.

just returned from a week at this hotel.what a lovely hotel staff helpful and nothing is to much trouble. the hotel is right on the lake and is perfect for eating outside. the hotel is very clean and could not fault anything. BUT. the hotel is 30min safe walk to the main town of iseo which is a nice town. the local village of pilzone is small and not much there and is a 5min walk. it has a train station a train stops about every 2 hours (the station is behind the church) the train line is very close to the hotel we did not find that a problem.
We travelled with Inghams which included a glass of wine, water and coffee with our evening meal, but the menu for the main restaurant is not the same as Inghams we had a very limited menu ie only 1 choice of dessert although the staff offered you ice cream if you did not want the dessert.the breakfast is excellent.
all in all a great hotel but we did feel like 2nd class citizens at the evening meal.
we are glad we went but would not return due to the amount of walking to get anywhere

We arrived at the hotel from Venice. It was surprisingly easy to get to by train and the station was only about five minutes from the hotel. The hotel itself is fantastic. The restaurant terrace is right by the lake and the views are incredible. The pool area is fantastic as well as you can just look out at the lake while sipping a Bellini or an Aperol Spritz. The rooms were well decorated and the bed was huge and comfy. We had a lakeside room, which is well worth paying extra for. If we stayed again I would definitely upgrade even further and get a balcony.
We stayed half board. The breakfast was buffet style and there was a good choice and all the food was fresh. The evening meals were beautiful. A good choice of three things per course each night and they were all gorgeous and fresh. The staff were great and by night three they knew our drinks order! A fantastic place to celebrate our engagement.
