We stayed in this place for three nights during our Costa Rica trip, and we didn't want to check out. This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to. From the hotel lobby to the rooms, everywhere is tastefully decorated, every detail perfected. This place is a true tropical paradise. The multi-level pools system with its waterfalls, hot springs and cool pools is absolutely amazing.

The resort has chalets spread out on a hillside leading up from reception; all (when it is not cloudy!) with stunning views of the volcano. Many rooms are quite a long way away from the reception, restaurants and pools which is a big disadvantage if you don't have a car and there is a tropical rainstorm. The rooms are chalet style and together with the hotel grounds are kept immaculately. The plants and gardens are beautiful and the pool areas are also well kept. The rooms have high beds but no easy chair to sit on just a hard wooden stool. The shower room is very nice and the plants are a nice touch but it was difficult at first to operate the shower without being either scalded or frozen. Restaurants are expensive. Good wifi throughout. Stayed two nights and could have stayed longer.

We were only there for one night as part of a tour so could not experience everything in the hotel unfortunately.
However lovely room with view of the volcano and the grounds looked beautiful. Would have loved to experience the hot springs and pool but no time.
Had dinner and breakfast in the buffet restaurant which was ok but there are plenty of restaurants a short drive away.
Hope to return in the near future!

When we arrived at Arenal Springs for the first half of our honeymoon we were in awe at the view of the volcano out our front door. Each "room" is more like an individual cabin. The showers are open air, so there were some issues with bugs in the bathroom, but that was to be expected in the rain forest. The resort was great, but dinners were very expensive. We generally called a cab and went into La Fortuna for dinner each night. The staff was so warm and welcoming! Staying in this part of Costa Rica was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

We spent 3 nights at the Arenal Resort and Spa. All the rooms face the Arenal Volcano. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Staff were attentive and very friendly. The grounds were pristine and very green. We enjoyed the thermal springs on the property each day. The resort breakfast was nice-a lot of variety. The coffee was excellent! Only drawback was we did not have personal transportation off the property and were unable to enjoy local meals in-town. The evening resort food was expensive and lacked variety since it was off-season and not all the restaurants were open.
