The Avendal Maritime Hotel is a short distance up a hill from the centre of town and provides an excellent place to stay for those touring in the area or visiting Avendal on business.
The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was of a high standard.
Altogether, I had a good experience here and would certainly recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Got a top level backyard room, and herewith it was very quiet. Great buffet for evening, and a fine breakfast was included. Norwegian newspapers. clean and good order everywhere. Bathroom fine. free open not secured internett inc.

Stayed one night due to visiting family in the area. It is a cozy hotel located in the middle of the town centre. Perfect if you're going out for food or drinks in the evening. Maybe it's not that suitable for families with small children. The hotel has a maritime architecture and atmosphere. The room was clean, but had no facilities like e.g a fridge. All in all, it was an easy and ok stay for the night.

We went for one night stay in Arendal, thanks to our GPS that leaded us perfectly to the hotel. It locates in the Centre of Arendal with walking distance to the harbour, shopping street and many restaurants.
The room is nice and clean. The breakfast was very good as a standard. But the (included) dinner on our arrival day was quite dissapointed, it basically was just soup, salad and cold vegetarian spagetti. Otherwise overall are good.

Breakfast was very nice. Fresh bread, eggs, waffles, pancakes and fresh fruits. 4 different types of juice, milk and coffee. Room was good size, window to the back so no noise from the road or the city life. The bathroom was nicely decorated with beautiful tiles and a good shower. Good size. The hotel location is perfect and parking house is right outside the hotel for a small price.
