We called on a Monday night for a meal and were not disappointed - my wife had the perch with risotto which was great. I had seafood spaghetti again lovely. We didn't have any dessert. Espresso for me and americano for my wife.
Overall this was just what we wanted - good value, nice wine, friendly staff and atmoshpere.

A quaint hotel right on the edge of Lake Como and just across the road from the boat dock. Clean rooms, excellent breakfast. Friendly staff who speak English. Easy distance from Bellagio and Villa Balbionello. I highly recommend this hotel and it's sister further up the mountain.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay and felt welcome and at home by all of the family that run the hotel and incredible restaurant. Not a huge, stiff hotel but adorable and just what we were looking for. Really felt like I was in Italy here. Best location in Lake Como. Very lively, adorable little quaint town with the boat station directly in front of the hotel taking you anywhere on the lake. We went to Bellagio by boat 1 hr trip only 13 euro round trip. Our room had the cutest balcony looking out right onto the lake and it was heavenly! Would go back in a second!!

Perfect position to use as a base for getting around the lake . Good public bus and ferry connections, both stopping almost outside the hotel. Traffic is noisy during the day but the windows close most of that out,why sit around your room during the day anyway. Room 14 is a lovely one with a balcony overlooking the lake. Paulo especially, but almost all of the staff are friendly and helpful ( except for one older waiter who's a miserable git)The restaurant does good pizzas and that and the bar are popular with locals. Good choice for breakfast and the coffee comes to order from a proper machine as opposed to one of these jars sitting on a hot plate. Perhaps not enough fresh fruit. Argegno itself is a pretty little spot with several bars and restaurants and a brilliant ice cream place. Would definitely stay again. Book direct with the hotel and you will get a better price than from Booking.com Expedia or whoever.

Bit of a curates egg this one. One the plus side the hotel has a lovely atmosphere, in a shabby chic style, the views over the lake are world class from the rooms at the front. A further plus is that the hotel is right opposite the ferry jetty. Sticking with pluses, Argegno is great, Milan is easily reached for day trips, and all the lake is at your disposal. There is a very good choice of restaurants and bars, while the hotel itself does great pizzas, takeaway was popular with the locals - enough said.
However, the hotel fronts onto a very busy and noisey road and there is no aircon, just a ceiling fan. For the first few days temperatures were in the mid to high thirties, so sleeping was a problem, if you opened the windows it was too noisey to sleep, but if you kept them closed for the double glazing it was less noisey but too hot to sleep. Later in our stay it dropped into the early 20s and the problem went away, if the temperatures had been lower I would have given it another star! Breakfast was included and was OK, although always the same, and there was a plentiful supply of coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful and the place had a very nice 'vibe',
