We have stayed here a couple of times now, the first was a while ago and then over the weekend. The place has had a major renovation and it is very modern and spacious. We had a river view room it had everything, big tv, microwave, ironing board,hair dryer,comfy beds, new carpets and a bathroom I would love in my own house. They have a restaurant, gaming area and a nice breakfast room. The meals are all reasonably priced and you get a good choice for breakfast. We had a cooked breakfast and it was only $10. Was a great start to our day.The staff were friendly Will be back for sure next time we are up north and I would recommend it to my friends

Stayed here after staying elsewhere on another trip. This was a much better experience. Food available during evening and great cooked breakfast available prior to boarding early morning ship. Bed comfortable and pillows adequate. Happy to stay here again.
Had great service from the Main Supervisor in the Bistro...Gayle....found us some lemon and honey for sore throats we had picked up on our stay in Tassie.

Parking was hard - arriving on a Friday evening, all of the spots were taken by patrons visiting the pub next door. They need to reserve spots for the motel guests. The room was not clean enough for the price. It had a musty chemical smell. The mattress was old and you could feel the springs. There were hardly any toiletries, for example, just squeeze soap from a large container (same again in the shower). Yes it is conveniently located near the Spirit of Tasmania but given the size of Devonport, it would only take 5 to 10 mins to drive to the port from any number of hotels/motels in the area. This was a once-only stay for us.

One of the few hotel that i get to park right outside my hotel during my Tasmania trip. The staffs, both at the reception and from the kitchen are very friendly. Clean hotel room but the toilet looks a little old. If you stay there, dont forget to enjoy a value worth breakfast set before checking out. One of the lowest price set meal in town. You can view the harbour right across the street and just a short drive out to town and the mersey bluff lighthouse.

Budget accommodation but has everything you need. 3 of us stayed and while the rooms aren't big, we were quite comfy.
All a bit outdated but clean and quite pleasant overall. Flat-screen TV, foxtel and free wifi. The microwave was handy but food is readily available with cheap room service surcharge.
Staff very friendly and obliging. We had an issue with the hot water in unit 5 but the staff didn't hesitate to offer to move us to another unit so it could be looked at and threw in a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience
I'd stay again.
