Fine place to stay
Tim Lon 28/09/2017 10:01Clean and comfortable. Diane was very friendly and keen to look after anything we needed. Breakfast was the best so far on our trip. She offers a couple of options outside the traditional Scottish breakfast. A couple of nice shops nearby. Recommended
Nice wee B&B
Emma Bon 03/09/2017 13:04We got the huge family room downstairs this time, which was terrific. Breakfast is lovely - we both had the full Scottish on the first day, and then eggs benedict (husband) and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon (me) on the second. The bread is home-made and delicious. If you fancy some late-night chocolate, Diane stocks it upstairs next to an honesty box.
Tomintoul is a great base if you love touring castles (there are plenty nearby) or whisky distilleries. There's also the Glenlivet estate, where you can do lots of walking.
There are plenty of places to eat nearby, although my husband was disappointed as he'd been looking forward to eating home-made pizza at the Gordon Arms. We'd phoned up beforehand and the gent told us they were open. On the night, the hotel did seem open and the lights were on, but we couldn't find anyone... ah well!
Best B&B
Sue Son 27/08/2017 19:39Having completed the North Coast 500 and stopping at Tomintoul we found ourselves at the Argyle Bed and Breakfast.
We received a very warm welcome with fresh milk delivered to our rooms.
The rooms were lovely and homely and spotlessly clean.
Our breakfast was amazing in fact the best out of our 10 day trip.
This is one of only 2 B&B that we stayed at that we would definitely return to.
Outstanding Breakfast
Laurie Won 14/08/2017 07:41Dianne is a great host, being very lively. Her and her husband go to a great deal of trouble with their Breakfasts, which are outstanding.
I would have liked to have stayed longer to do a bit of mountain biking, which they offer.
The Clockhouse restaurant across the road is value excellent and value for money
Excellent!
Dennis Mon 21/06/2017 12:40South African hosts with a passion for hospitality. Nice rooms and well priced. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict for breakfast or the eggs with salmon.
The cook Steve gets up early every day and bakes bread. Fresh!
